Finding Stillness — Wherever You Are 🌿
I’ve been in Devon this week — a week to slow down, breathe, and reset. There’s something about being close to the sea and surrounded by open sky that reminds me how important it is to pause.
But here’s the truth… you don’t have to be in Devon to find stillness.
You don’t have to wait for the perfect setting, the quiet beach, or a retreat day to reconnect with yourself.
We can all find small moments — even just 10 minutes — to soften the edges of a busy day.
To pause the noise.
To notice the breath moving in and out of the body.
To feel the weight of your feet grounding into the earth.
To remember that you are here, and that’s enough.
Stillness isn’t about escaping life; it’s about being more fully in it.
When we take a moment to connect — whether that’s while making a cup of tea, sitting in the car before heading inside, or standing in the garden — we remind the nervous system that we’re safe, that we can rest, that we don’t always have to be “doing”.
This week has been a beautiful reminder for me to practice what I share with others — to come back to my own breath, to rest my own body, to fill my own cup.
So wherever you are today — home, work, or somewhere in between — take a few deep breaths, unclench your jaw, drop your shoulders, and give yourself those 10 minutes.
Stillness is always available to you. 🌸
