Our ladies enjoyed a fun day trip to Horsham and had lunch and then some Easter shopping at Newbridge Garden Centre in Horsham....Pat was looking eggcellent in her Easter hair band 😃🐣🐥

It's only Wednesday and so much has been happening at Guildford House, brilliantly facilitated by our fantastic Activities Team as ever,
Here goes!
Helen, our talented pianist (amongst her many talents!) Played lovely music for the residents throughout the home, The RGS boys and their music master also entertained us musically and it was very much enjoyed as always. Then the outing which took some lucky residents to Debbie's Cafe for coffee and cake, the icing on said cake 😉, was that it was a bright sunny day 😎 so they all enjoyed their cake in the sunshine 🌞🧁.
Next up, Christine enjoyed doing some colouring whilst others took their clothes to be repaired at the staff run repair shop, always a popular event!
The newly hatched ducklings🦆 brought smiles to all our faces and they were happy to be held and chatted away happily!
International Women's Day was celebrated by some of our fabulous ladies whilst enjoying a little tipple, cheers 🥂to all the wonderful ladies at Guildford House Care Home - Avery Collection.
Our Reminiscence of the Year was 1977 with Heather, lively chatter and dancing was enjoyed by all. 😊

The end of last week brought
Lots of fun and laughter, we had our whole home Dance Off with residents and staff joining in.....everyone danced brilliantly 🤼‍♂️🤼💃

The week was rounded off with the boys from RGS coming in and entertaining us on their musical instruments and then they held another of their popular quizzes, what a great bunch of students they are!👌🙌

What a weekend at Guildford House Care Home!
The residents enjoyed a lovely church service, beautiful opera singing from Yuri, Mini golf, scrumptious cakes made by the ladies and
gentlemen in the baking club, and last but definitley not least,
"Legs Eleven, Lucky Seven and Droopy Drawers" 🤭 were just some of the rhyming numbers called out at the packed Bingo evening which was enjoyed by many residents and their families, clearly great fun!

This week started off with some great singing from the residents, with Lily directing proceedings brilliantly as ever!

Some of the residents enjoyed a ride around some Surrey Villages, culminating in a stop in beautiful Shamley Green for some well deserved snacks 😀

The next bus trip was to one of the biggest Sainsbury stores, Watchmoo Park where they rewarded themselves with coffee and cake and a certain person had a HUGE hot chocolate 😋😀

The latter part of this week was just as busy and fun for our lively residents with a great mixture of entertainment in the home and some lovely outings too. Take a look below at the photographs of the Film night showing Breakfast at Tiffany's, popcorn was enjoyed too!

The RGS boys entertained us with their usual excellent musical recital, so much talent!

The musical theme continued with a beautiful recital by Mark Levin on his harp followed by the baking club who made scrummy muffins!

Heather gave a fascinating talk about a day in 1969, how times have changed!

On Saturday Rachel took some residents to.watch a rugby match at Guildford Rugby Club (Sadly we lost) but it was a thoroughly enjoyable day out with a great lunch in the club room all.the same! 🏉
