Skin Cancer Awareness Month
As the days get brighter, it’s the perfect time to look after your skin. Skin Cancer Awareness Month is a reminder that a little care now can make a big difference later.
Skin cancer is one of the most common cancers in the UKβ€”but it’s also one of the most preventable.
πŸ’› Simple ways to protect yourself:
β€’ Wear sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher)
β€’ Seek shade during peak sun hours (11am–3pm)
β€’ Cover up with a hat and sunglasses
β€’ Keep an eye on any changes to your skin
If you notice anything unusual, new moles, changes in shape, colour, or size, it’s always worth getting it checked.
Let’s look out for ourselves and each other this month. Share this post to help spread awareness πŸ’¬

Today, on World Malaria Day (25 April), we’re reminded that ending malaria is within reach β€” but we all have a part to play.

This year’s theme, β€œDriven to End Malaria: Now We Can. Now We Must.”, is all about turning progress into action. With new vaccines, better prevention, and ongoing research, there’s real hope for change.

But malaria is still affecting millions of people worldwide, so it’s more important than ever to keep the momentum going.

πŸ’› Let’s keep raising awareness, supporting global efforts, and moving closer to a malaria-free future.

Carrying on our theme of celebrating our Silver Screen heroes... today we look at Jack Nicholson. Born today, April 22nd, in 1937, Jack Nicholson has spent decades redefining what a leading man can be β€” charming, terrifying, hilarious, unhinged, and somehow still smiling through it all.

From Easy Rider to The Shining to As Good As It Gets, nobody delivers a line like Jack.

Did you know?

🎭 Nicholson learned at age 37 that the woman he thought was his sister was actually his mother. Hollywood drama? Real life beat it.
