It’s my go to stretch first thing in the morning.

Not only is it a delicious stretch it stimulates the entire body’s nervous system.

It stretches the abdominals. Leaning over to the side wakes up the obliques to.

It stretches the spine

And for anyone that has breathing difficulties this is an excellent and easy way to expand the chest to aid breathing from diaphragm.

The state of your being will be determine by how you cope with everyday occurrences.

It’s up to you to prepare yourself so that you are strong not only physically but mentally too.

The more you use the tools in your toolkit the more able you are. We can feel stuck when we aren’t prepared.

Sukhasana aka as easy pose. It is a simple cross-legged pose.

It is also a passive pose meaning we can sink into the pose the muscles and body are soft and relaxed because of this we can hold a passive pose for longer

By engaging muscles when in a position like this will gain you strength in its flexibility as compared to the muscles in a passive pose, they are building range but not strength.

Building strength in Sukhasana
· Place shins parallel to the edge of the mat cross legged feet flexed
· Take your hands under your knees and place them on your ankle
· Forearms are now under your knee
· Pull forearms up and press down into your forearms with your knees. You now have opposition

Can you feel the difference between a passive Sukhasana and an active Sukhasana

By doing this simple active Sukhasana you are building strength in the external rotators by engaging the muscle

If there’s one aspect of nutrition I wish I had known sooner, it would be GUT HEALTH. What do you know about gut health?

Whether it’s our skin, our weight, or our mood, our gut plays a much bigger role in all aspects of our overall health more than we thought. Everyone has a gut microbiome with plenty of bacteria living inside of it. Hey it's not as bad as it sounds! This bacteria helps break down food and absorb nutrients. If your microbiome is out of balance, your body can’t absorb all the nutrients your food is suppose to give you.

The best part about your gut health is that it can be influenced by probiotics and prebiotics which work together. They help restore and feed your good bacteria, creating a healthy microbiome.

I drink a superfood drink which has both prebiotics and probiotics in as well as fibre and digestive enzymes! It's a great way to start implementing foods that will nourish your gut.

I'm about to start a 4 Week Gut Protocol program in March which I am super excited about.

Going scoop the loop for my delicious superfood drink.

Love a drink that lives up to its name.

I’d heard so much about it and all its awesome properties that I thought it must be too good to be true. It is a pretty awesome drink

Its ingredient has been chosen for its ability to work together to help you feel and perform at your best.

My shape is not the full expression but it is my shape and it feels good to me.

Yoga is not about doing amazing poses.

Yoga is about your body and your story and how it feels for you.

Yoga can meet you where you are at right now. You don't need to wait to be thinner or more flexible or whatever is holding your back. Yoga will meet you where you need to be, just get on the mat and try it.
