I started SlimmingWorld in May 2024 (again)
I was in the right headspace and as I was coming up for my 40th birthday I just wanted to do it for me so I needed to make it a part of my life by staying in group as it’s one of the most important things and that helps you more than you know , getting food ideas and having the support from other on the good days and bad.,
Slimming world plan works for me I love the food as I am really fussy so making me try new food and foods that I can make it work for me there is so much choice and you can always find something you like( if I can, you can)
Being overweight affected me more than I knew I didn’t like to go out and if I did, it was when I’ve had a drink or I was the funny one in the group or make the fat jokes before anybody else did, but now this is the best I have ever felt in myself and being able to go shopping and get clothes that you want to buy and wear and not because you have to to cover your body I love this,
I have lost 5 1/2 stone which I am so proud of myself for I am now a target member and I’m on my new journey. I still come to group every week as I am still learning and getting more ideas for food and the support of the group is so helpful. This is my time now and I’m loving life.

In group we can help you find your activity groove, whether that's walking, arm chair exercises or finding a class to go or our own Slimming World activity videos you can do in the comfort of your own home 💪
