A common mistake almost everybody makes in our fast paced world today is not chewing their food enough. There are no more teeth beyond the mouth! You can’t chew it once it has left your mouth.

Yet so many of us eat as though our oesophagus is lined with teeth. We are so excited by the flavor or in such a hurry that we might chew the food three times if we are lucky.

If you don’t chew your food properly, your digestive system won’t be able to break it down. Undigested food takes more space in your stomach than digested food and creates bloating, which means the nutrients of the food were not absorbed properly and that can also make your stomach appear much larger than it is.

So slow down, concentrate! Chew your food well, at least 15 times so you are giving your digestive system the best chance to to absorb the goodness from the food you ate. :)

If you are interested in learning how to care for your body and health, and Lose Weight, do not miss out on out exclusive program, starting very soon. DM or watsapp me to join with the 50% off discount. Only for this launch!

It’s crucial that you are getting these nutrients from your food in adequate quantities as we still haven’t been able to manufacture a readily bioavailable supplement.

So how do we get them from our food? Selenium, well that’s easy: 2 to 4 brazil nuts a day (ideal for men working on s***m quality). Glutathione is found in every raw fruit and vegetable. In all of them. So you just need to ensure you are having some good serves of steamed or raw vegies and some good quality fruits, to ensure you are getting glutathione.
I am super excited to announce a brand new program I’ve been working hard on behind the scenes. It’s called ‘Conceiving naturally for Women with PCOS’ and its based on the LATEST research in PCOS and fertility.

If you have friends who have PCOS and would like to improve their fertility whether for now or in the future, please go ahead and tag them right here.

Do you agree with this post?

This is the first of 3 mindset shifts I’ll be sharing with you throughout this week. 💃

When you take a step back and measure up the cost of NOT eating well, you will realize it is actually far greater than the cost of making food a priority in your life and giving it all the time and effort it deserved. Once you realize this you will begin to see food in a much different light and begin to appreciate it in a very different way. 😊

Most healthy eating or weight loss programs FAIL because they only focus on FOOD... Our Women’s Health and weight loss program which will open for you to join after the 13th of October works on building your mindset throughout the program and on giving you the power of group accountability. đŸ’Ș

Posting after a long break. Hope to be sharing more with you!
Did you know that poor sleep can unravel all your hard work on your diet and exercise? Prioritizing your sleep and clocking 7 to 8 hours of deep, restful sleep can have enormous benefits for your body. And guess what? It’s free! Good sleep can: improve insulin sensitivity, reduce depression, reduce hunger and cravings, reduce inflammation, reduce androgen levels and reduce stress level, to name a few!

Here are some top tips for sleep that I share with my clients:
- Avoid Netflixing/YouTubing or scrolling through your phone late into the night esp. on your bed. The brain gets overstimulated and gets mixed signals regarding what it’s supposed to do.
- Switch your smartphone to the night shift mode to get rid of the blue light.
- Be strict regarding no caffeine after 2pm.
- Make sleep and wake times consistent as much as you can. The body functions optimally when it’s asleep when it’s dark outside, around 10 pm to 6am.
- Install black out curtains, or wear an eye mask. Anything to prevent stimulation.

What questions do you have for me about magnesium or sleep habits?

22/07/2020

According to a University of Cincinnati study, the rate at which harmful chemicals are released from plastic like those in soft drink and water bottles, depends on the temperature. When allowed to heat (like it does in the hot summer sun or in the car, compounds like bisphenol (BPA) were leached into the beverage 55 times faster.

These hormone disruptors can mess with fertility, mood, energy, thyroid function, obesity, male breast development and even cause cancer.

Even though many bottles are said to be BPA-free we know BPA alternatives are not any safer as it has been shown.

A 2009 study from Harvard School of Public Health showed those who drank from plastic bottles, showed a 2/3rd increase in their urine of bisphenol (BPA).

So, if you are on a mission to gradually reduce endocrine disruptors in your life, this is one of the most effective and easiest places to start. Here are some tips you can start doing right away:

· Invest in a good stainless steel, copper or glass bottle and always take it with you when you travel as you don’t want to be forced to buy plastic water bottles.

· Do not use plastic or melamine plates in the microwave.

· Do not transfer hot food directly onto a plastic plate or plastic lunch boxes. (Hint: Get a good stainless steel lunch box for the precious kiddos).

· When you dine outside, take your own water bottle like I do, or ask them for just plain tap water so you can avoid purchasing their plastic water bottles.

· If having coffee/tea or a hot drink at a café, ask for it to be poured in a tea cup rather than the disposable polystyrene foams.

Tag a friend below who you think must know this information! Which of these tips do you already practice? 😊

I am a huge fan of getting as many nutrients as we can from our food. Unfortunately, this is becoming more and more difficult for a variety of reasons. The quality of our soil is declining due to modern farming practices and if a nutrient isn’t in the soil, it cannot be in our food.
Also extreme dieting trends, fear of eating carbohydrates (yes it’s a real thing now 😂) and poor intake of fruits and vegetable can often leave you depleted in many essential micronutrients.

In our Women’s Health and weight loss 8 week program we cover which supplements you need to take for your condition. If you have PCOS, Woman A with PCOS's needs are different from Woman B with PCOS's needs. We can help you to decide what is suitable for YOU.

Our supplement recommendations include local ones and from abroad for those who can afford it. 💜

My goal is to empower you to have the knowledge to make your own decisions when it comes to your health and do what's right for YOU. đŸ’ȘđŸŒ

Sounds good? Good! See you there! 🎉Enrollment closes on the 7th of July at midnight! Send me a Watsapp msg on 0776865261 to join now!

Do you have the habit of planning your breakfast the night before?

When you don’t plan you are much more likely to turn to white bread, bakery products (think doughnuts and egg buns) or just drink 2 or 3 cups of tea/coffee to not feel hungry.

Eating a filling breakfast helps your hormones in so many ways.

An important study comparing women with PCOS who had a big breakfast and a really small one, showed that those who had the bigger, nourishing breakfast had around 400% lower testosterone, lowered LH and much improved insulin sensitivity.

Breakfast keeps you energized, full until lunch time and definitely puts a positive tone for the day.

Learn about simple, evidence-based, actionable steps you can do to drastically improve your health, balance your hormones and so much more in our Women’s Health and Weight loss program starting this June 8th. Doors are closing soon! Msg us to hear more about our affordable payment plan. ❀

01/07/2020

I often get asked for one off single consultations or one hour of my time instead of a course. I always refuse now. And here is why. If I agree for a session like that and you come to see me with all your questions for weightloss or pcos etc, I am just going to be doing you a disservice. Because no matter how great you are or good I am, I know that you will not be able to get the whole picture of how to lose weight or balance your hormones or manage your PCOS in just one hour with me. That’s not enough time at all for you to get to know me, or me to get to know you, let along produce a significant transformation! All I can do in that hour is education, and education just does not get the job done anymore. So that’s where coaching comes in. Coaching is not just about providing education but delivering something ongoing, transformative and sustainable for the client, you.

The one to one coaching program was effective, but I found myself repeating myself too much and I was getting burnt-out with the number of people I had to see in a day, not being able to provide consistently to all. Which lead me to adapt the much more successful and efficient ‘group coaching program’ (which has become very popular in the Western world) which meant I could give my BEST to ALL of you and deliver it with slideshows and in an interactive style so that you can engage with and really understand the content over the period of 8 weeks. It’s also very motivating to be interacting in a group with other women on the same boat as you. And in today’s world with the social restrictions due to COVID-19, this connection is deeply therapeutic and is an enjoyable journey we can look forward to. 🙂

Our new and updated program now includes optional one to one VIP sessions,
cycle syncing, lab test interpretations, supplement recommendations, private watsapp group for Q and A and so much more! To be part of our next group starting in July 9th, please call or watsapp +94776865261 for more information.

Did you know? Excess weight is actually a symptom. It’s a sign that something is not going right in your body. Most women who I have worked with are not even eating the recommended number of calories per day, but still not losing weight. There could be a number of reasons for this. One of them is frequent dieting. Studies show that the no. 1 predictor of future weight gain is having been on a restrictive diet. This means that if you go on a diet (restrict calories especially in an unusual way of eating that you cannot sustain), you are most likely to gain the weight back on and some more. The biggest loser study showed shocking evidence of how much their participants' metabolism had slowed 6 years after being on the show. And almost all of them had regained the weight they lost. So key is to find a long term solution by learning how to eat in a healthy way for your body and building good habits that become a part of your personality .

Other reasons for stubborn weight that won’t budge besides a poor metabolism is PCOS, hormonal imbalances like oestrogen dominance, low testosterone, high cortisol levels, insulin resistance, gut dysfunction and high stress. We address all of these topics and much more in our course.

If this post resonates with you, you are welcome to join our comprehensive Women's Health and Weight loss program starting on the 8th of July. Please call or send a watsapp message to +94776865261. Its much more efficient than chatting in the DM. :)

Myth busting for PCOS!

1) “You can’t get pregnant with PCOS”: You CAN definitely get pregnant with PCOS. It can be a little harder, but it is entirely possible and a lot of women do! You might need fertility medications or you might go entirely naturally which is what we do.

2) “You have to lose weight to get pregnant”: Not really. Most doctors will tell you only this without addressing the diet component at all! Restricting foods does no favour for your hormones- dieting raises cortisol. High cortisol makes it impossible to lose weight. Research does show that weight loss can help some with getting regular ovulatory cycles, but it’s not an absolute requirement. You need to follow a balanced approach to lose weight.

3) “You have to try intermittent fasting, keto, gluten free, dairy free diets”: No! You need to find out what is causing YOUR PCOS and treat the ROOT CAUSE. Some diets can do more harm than benefit so be really careful.

If you have PCOS, maybe you have tried all kinds of fad diets, as well as inositol, following random pages on Instagram. One thing to know is, that it's not your fault.❀ There is NO ONE diet or supplement regimen that works for all women with PCOS. Have you tried working with a Dietitian who understand PCOS and can work with you to find out what might be causing your symptoms?

In our Women’s health program, we will be coaching you on correcting the 4 main root causes of PCOS: Insulin resistance (70% of women with PCOS), inflammation, hormone imbalances and gut imbalances. Once you start working on these root causes the scale will start moving naturally and periods start to regulate!

Don’t waste any more time. DM or watsapp now to book your seat right in!
