The Prison You Can’t See 👀

Most people are walking around trapped — not by their past, not by their circumstances, but by their own mind. And the scariest part is they don’t even realise it

🤔 Think about it. Your thoughts tell you what you can and can’t do. They convince you you’re not good enough, not strong enough, not ready yet. And you believe them so you stay small. You stay stuck.

But here’s the thing... those thoughts aren’t facts, they are habits. They are old stories your brain has been replaying for a long time — so long that you mistake them for truth.

And that’s the prison, a cage built from your own thoughts. No bars, no walls, just beliefs you never chose that are running the show and keeping you trapped.

Here’s what most people don’t know... the door to that prison is already unlocked. The second you train your brain to break the loop — to step into new patterns, new beliefs, new ways of thinking — you walk free!

This horse is tied to nothing more than a plastic chair.
The chair is fragile, weightless and powerless.
Yet the horse stands still — convinced it can't move.

This is what the mind does to us.
It convinces us that our fears are solid.
It tells us that the past defines us
and that we are bound by limits that don't exist.

But the truth?
Those limits are an illusion.
They have no more strength than that plastic chair.

The moment you realise this is the moment you see through it — you discover the power to walk forward and become unstoppable.

✨ Here’s something you might not know about therapy…
The way you talk about your challenges can actually shape how your brain stores them.

Traditional therapy often means revisiting the past, re-examining old wounds and analysing problems in detail. While that can bring awareness, it can also make those patterns feel even more deeply wired into your subconscious — almost like walking the same old path over and over again, making the tracks deeper each time. And that’s why traditional therapy often takes much longer — people can spend years going over the same ground.

🔑 That’s where solution-focused therapy is different.
Instead of strengthening the problem, it strengthens the solution.
Rather than asking “why am I like this?” we ask “where do I want to be, and how do I get there?”

The Stories We Tell Ourselves 📖

You know, so often we don’t even realise how much of our life is shaped by the stories we tell ourselves.
Little sentences that run in the background of our mind — like “I’m not good enough,” “I’ll never change,” “I’m just an anxious person.”

And here’s the thing... those stories don’t just stay in your head.
They shape your mood and they shape the way you show up in your day.
They even shape the choices you make — what you eat, whether you speak up and how much you believe in yourself.

It’s like your mind is the author, and whatever story it’s writing, you end up living.

The good part is you can upgrade that story.
You can choose to tell yourself something different.
And when you upgrade your thoughts, you upgrade your whole life.

Because the brain is constantly listening. If you feed it fear, it gives you anxiety.
If you feed it calmness, it gives you clarity.
If you feed it belief, it gives you action.

So the real question is: what story are you telling yourself today?
And is it one you actually want to keep living? 🌸

Let Them! 🤷🏻‍♀️

They want to walk away? Let them.
They want to cancel? Let them.
They want to try it their way? Let them.
They don’t want to try? Let them!

Here’s the thing, trying to control people or situations is like trying to hold water in your hands. You squeeze, it slips, you panic and somehow you end up wet anyway.

When we insist on controlling situations or what others do - we trap ourselves. We start depending on the external to create the life we want. We lose touch of who we really are and what truly matters to us. Instead of being ourselves, we end up shaping our actions around others—and in the process, we miss out on building the life that’s genuinely ours.

The “Let Them Theory” isn’t about giving up. It’s about freedom. Freedom for others and freedom for you. Freedom to stop spinning your wheels worrying about things that are never yours to control in the first place.

If someone doesn’t want to be with you, let them. You’ll meet someone who does.
If someone wants to cancel or bail, let them. Choose yourself and take yourself out.
If someone wants to do things their way, let them. And you do yours, without apology.

Letting people be is one of the most powerful moves you can make. Because in the space of letting them, you create room for yourself to live fully, authentically and without the weight of trying to control things that aren't yours to control.

So tomorrow, or today, or next week... just let them. Watch how life moves differently when you stop trying to squeeze it into your hands.

Let's be real....
Life isn’t neat. It isn’t tidy. It doesn’t always make sense.
And you don’t have to either.

Stop pretending you’ve got it all together. Stop pretending you’re fine when you’re not.

Feel it. Own it. Deal with it your way.

But here’s the thing, owning it doesn’t mean ignoring it.
It doesn’t mean blaming someone else or waiting for life to “fix itself.”
It means taking responsibility for what you can control, making choices that actually move you forward and not letting excuses run the show.

Life doesn’t hand clarity to anyone.
You have to create it.
You have to face it.
You have to do your part.

And when you do, even a little at a time, you start to realise that you’re stronger than you thought and you can handle more than you believed.

You don’t have to figure it all out alone. Hypnotherapy helps you take control and make real progress exactly how you need to.

❗Important!
I say this often but I really mean it... please prioritise your self care and wellbeing FIRST before you show up for anyone or anything else.

Just recently something special happened in my life. I got so caught up in it that eventually I put all my focus on it and didn't prioritise my own needs like I used to do. In turn I messed everything up!
Because I didn't show up as my best self, and I behaved in a way that didn't reflect my best self.

I now sit here in regret.

I know this so well, I preach it and have practiced it for years but I slipped. We are all human and we make mistakes, we learn and grow all the time and it's ok. But it's important to acknowledge and understand that we need to take responsibility for our own wellbeing and our own needs. I promise you that nobody and nothing outside of you can do it for you. It's all on YOU.

When you prioritise your self care and needs first before showing up for someone or something else then you are able to give more freely in a loving way without burning out. You become a better partner, a better parent, a better friend and a better person. You act out of peace and love towards others because first you have acted out of peace and love towards yourself.

Making yourself number 1 is not selfish, it's necessary. Take time out every day to care for yourself and to meet your needs... Then everyone around you will benefit from it and you can maintain that peace, love and joy in your life that you really want ❤️

We spend so much time trapped in the loop —
worrying about bills, stressing about deadlines, replaying conversations in our heads and shrinking ourselves to fit our day-to-day lives.

But take a second…
That little dot on the picture?
That’s us.
One tiny speck, in a galaxy so vast it's almost impossible to comprehend.

And yet somehow, fear convinces us it’s the entire world.
Fear zooms us in until all we can see is the problem in front of us —
when the truth is that reality is vast, limitless and far too big for these worries to have the power we give them.

When you step back for a moment and look at the wider picture, things change.
The “big problems” become small.
The fear loses its grip.
And you remember: you were never here to simply survive — you were here to live, to explore, to create, to love, to experience.

Pause, breathe, remember who you are and remember where you are 💜
