Today Joshua has continued his training by accompanying Michelle to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.

With the ongoing roadworks around the city, it it gave us valuable time to talk through another important part of our role. Joshua is learning where we attend within different hospitals and how we conduct ourselves with professionalism, dignity, and respect in each setting.

While certain clinical areas are restricted, today was about helping him understand the processes, procedures, and standards expected within hospital environments. We are proud to support his development as he continues to learn every aspect of the care we provide.

Today is Work Experience Day for Joshua, and he is gaining valuable insight into the many responsibilities involved in our profession.

This morning, he attended and assisted with his first funeral service, observing the care, dignity, and attention that each family deserves. He has also been learning about the process of collecting ashes, an important and sensitive part of the service we provide.
