Happy New Year!

Hate to start of the New Year with the dreaded price increase but I’ve been putting it off as long as possible. With inflation the cost of pretty much everything has shot up including insurance, couch roll etc so I’m going to have to adjust prices in accordance.

GET MOVING

- Take regular breaks from phones/computers (set alarms if you need to!)

- Mobilise your neck and shoulders regularly throughout the day (looking over your shoulder, shoulder circles)

- Stretch when areas are tightening up

- Keep warm to stop yourself hunching up, also use hot water bottle/heat pack to relax tight areas

MODIFIED LAT PULL DOWN

This exercise works the lats (back), biceps and stimulates the stabilisers and fixators within the trunk.

It was done using new bands with a light resistance, if using a cable machine I would recommend pulling the bar down to the front of the chest as opposed to behind the head.

The grip was adapted to open palm to develop finger strength.

Loved taking these for a test run last weekend at the

Apart from looking the dogs doo dahs they’re different to any other trail shoe I’ve worn before.

The sock like fit means they sit higher and more snug around the ankle, apart from feeling more supportive around the foot, I had trail debris getting into the shoes, as would usually be the case!

The dial lace system means they’re so easy to do up and the laces don’t budge. Very handy quick release when you’re dying to set your feet free or if your frozen fingers are struggling to undo laces in the winter.

The soles were so firm I couldn’t feel sharp stones underneath my feet, although they’re so firm that I wouldn’t recommend for mixed trail/road and they’re quite “clunky” on the tarmac.

Overall a fab shoe, thank you for letting me be a test dummy!

Shoulder pulleys are a great way of increasing range of motion in the early stages of rehab without stressing the damaged tissues.

Pull down with your good side while keeping the injured side completely relaxed. Your shoulder is still going through the range, moving the tissues and flushing through the joint without fatiguing injured tissues.

WHY AM I OBSESSED WITH HANGING?

If you’ve been to see me with a back or shoulder issue you will have most likely been asked “do you hang?” 😂

🦧 Decompresses the spine and replace the space in between your joints

🦧 Improves shoulder joint range of motion

🦧 Strengthens the forearms

🦧 Corrects poor posture

🦧 Stretches the lats

🦧Can relieve shoulder impingement
