I’ve noticed something after years of working with people in pain — many don’t avoid help because they don’t need it… they avoid it because they’re busy, unsure, or quietly hoping it will just settle on its own.
With experience treating injuries, pain, and people wanting to become more active. I know how easy it is to talk yourself out of booking. “It’s not that bad.” “I’ll sort it next week.” “Other people need help more than me.”
But pain has a way of taking up space in your life, even when you try to ignore it. And often, it’s not about doing more — it’s about having someone listen, understand what’s really going on, and help you move forward in a way that feels manageable.
This week alone has been full of sports massage sessions focused on lower limb pain — calves, hamstrings, hips, and knees — many of them from people who waited longer than they needed to. Every one of them said the same thing afterwards: “I wish I’d come sooner.”
If something’s been niggling, tightening, or holding you back — and this post feels like it’s speaking to you — trust that instinct. You don’t need to commit to anything. Just drop me a message and we’ll have a chat. Sometimes that first step is the hardest, but it’s often the most important.
