Come along to one of our upcoming drop-in sessions to explore a range of practical, easy-to-use items designed to support everyday living. Join an occupational therapy-led programme to learn skills and strategies to stay well through engaging in the activities that matter most to you.

Interactive sessions over 4 consecutive weeks will cover:

• Maintaining a sense of self alongside and independent of caregiving
• The importance of self-care and self-compassion
• Managing time and energy effectively, different types of rest for balance
• Building habits and routines to support yourself and others
• Managing stress, understanding your own and others' behaviours
• Role transitions and relationship dynamics

We’re pleased to share that the Occupational Therapy Advanced Practitioner (Inreach) post is now live. This is an exciting opportunity to join the East Lothian Rehabilitation Services, with the role primarily based at the Western General Hospital (WGH), supporting East Lothian patients who present to or are admitted to the site.

The successful candidate will work closely with the existing WGH AHP teams, ward MDTs, and the East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership (ELHSCP) Advanced Practice Physiotherapist and Flow Coordinator. In addition, they will collaborate with the senior ELHSCP management team to support Unscheduled Care workstreams and contribute to optimising patient flow.

As this is a newly developed pathway, the post will also involve data collection and service evaluation to inform and shape the future design of the WGH AHP Inreach model.
