I joke that I make people cry for a living…
But truthfully, I don’t think I MAKE anyone cry at all.
I simply create a space where people no longer have to hold everything alone. A space where they can soften. Exhale. Feel.
Healing is rarely just physical. Sometimes a safe touch, a quiet moment, or simply being witnessed opens the floodgates. And when it does, it’s never something I fear or try to fix.
Tears are not weakness — they are relief, release, recognition. The body speaking. The nervous system finally feeling safe enough to let go.
It’s strength. It’s finally tuning into listen to what your body has been trying to say.
Maybe you’ve been holding it all in tight shoulders, chest or jaw. Maybe your feet have been carrying too much.
Perhaps that yoga class was exactly what your body needed physically to release something that you’ve been scared to let go of.
Or that reiki session helped you to come back home to yourself. Your needs and wants.
People often apologise for crying, but to me, it is one of the most beautiful parts of this work. What a privilege it is to witness someone arrive more fully into themselves — without needing to pretend, hold it all together, or stay guarded.
I just hold space for people to come home to themselves, that cry was needed. It’s sacred and it’s healing. Let it out, to let it go.
