All Things Fine — Cheese and Wine! 🍷🧀

On Sunday, we were delighted to welcome our residents, relatives, and members of the local community into our home for a wonderful afternoon of delicious cheeses, curated wines, and live entertainment.

It was a joy to spend time together, enjoying great company while raising funds for our residents’ fund, adding festive sparkle to our home, and of course, listening to fantastic live sea-shanty music.

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who joined us for this special afternoon. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! 🎄✨

Waterfield House Takes on Tesco! 🎄

It’s that wonderful time of year again as we prepare for the festive season and all the excitement that comes with it.

Our residents had a fantastic time during their recent trip to Tesco to begin their Christmas shopping in style. From cosy pyjamas and delicious cheeses to wrapping paper and carefully chosen drinks, everyone enjoyed selecting gifts for themselves and their loved ones while sharing the festive spirit together.

After shopping to our hearts’ content, we continued the celebrations with a lovely lunch, making the day even more special.

A heartfelt thank you to Mandy and Vicky for supporting our residents throughout this wonderful outing. We’re already looking forward to the next adventure! 🎅✨

Our CRM, Katie, was pleased to be invited to the Care Home Forum held today at Endeavour House by Suffolk County Council.

The Forum provides an invaluable opportunity for local professionals to come together, network, and support one another in the months ahead—particularly around placements, discharges, and wider hospital and care home collaboration.

It was excellent to meet and speak with members of the brokerage teams, hospital discharge coordinators, contract managers, and registered nurses from the CHESS team. Our discussions offered a great opportunity to highlight the vital work they do and explore how Runwood Homes Senior Living can continue to support these efforts moving forward.

Thank you for the kind invitation. It was a pleasure to meet many of you in person, and I look forward to working closely with you in the coming months to ensure that those needing care receive it with dignity, integrity, and inclusivity.

At Waterfield House, we are deeply grateful for the continued support of our local authority.

To show our appreciation, our Customer Relations Manager, Katie, visited Endeavour House this afternoon, where she had the pleasure of meeting Britney from the Brokerage Team in person after two months of email-only communication.

During the visit, we discussed our ongoing collaborations, explored ways we can continue to support the local authority moving forward, and shared some delicious biscuits and chocolates with the wonderful Brokerage Team.

It was a genuine pleasure to meet you all — and as always, we’re incredibly thankful for your partnership and support.

You Said – We Did – October Update!

October has been a month full of fun, smiles, and new experiences here at Waterfield House!

You said you’d love to see more special treats and outings — and we did just that!

We were delighted to welcome a wonderful visit from the ice cream van, which brought plenty of joy (and sprinkles!) to everyone. It was lovely to see so many smiles as residents chose their favourite flavours and enjoyed a sweet treat together.

We also enjoyed a fabulous trip to the local pub — a brilliant idea suggested by Mac! It was a fantastic outing filled with good company, great conversation, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

At Waterfield House, our residents are always encouraged and supported to take part in activities they enjoy most. Whether it’s a quiet afternoon indoors or a lively trip out, we’ll always do our very best to make it happen.

Thank you to everyone who continues to share their ideas and suggestions — they truly help us make Waterfield House the happy and vibrant home it is.

Jingle and Glow — the Ladies at Waterfield Steal the Show! 🌟

Today, we had a wonderful time visiting one of our local Christmas centres! From handcrafted baubles and wooden nutcrackers to twinkling lights and beautifully decorated trees — we were truly in awe of the festive displays.

Our ladies delighted in the shimmering sights, joyful atmosphere, and, of course, a well-deserved treat of succulent cake and freshly brewed coffee. ☕🍰

Christmas is such a special and magical time for us here at Waterfield House. We feel so grateful to share these joyful experiences and create cherished memories with our lovely residents. ❤️

Happy Birthday, Frances! 🎈

Our wonderful Frances celebrated turning 40 again in style! She was spoiled with beautiful flowers, delicious chocolates, and of course — plenty of birthday cake. 🍰💐

The highlight of her day was a heartfelt phone call with her son, Adrian, who lives overseas — a special moment that truly made her day complete. ❤️
