This lovely little chap came in to see us a couple of weeks ago, after his owner noticed he was dribbling and pawing at his face. He came in with his bonded partner, Ivy, so we could examine him and check his face and mouth.

On oral examination, a very large laceration was seen on his tongue! His tongue was bleeding and very sore, causing him to hypersalivate and rub at his mouth. Under anaesthetic, the injury was assessed fully and found to have cut through just over half of his tongue. We carefully sutured his tongue back together, before discharging him home with special food and medication.

We have been checking his progress regularly as he heals. He is always a pleasure to see, and is such a good boy wrapped in his bunny burrito for his post-operative checks!
