Janet Drake (creator of Body Mind as One) trained at Elmhurst Ballet School for 7 years before dancing professionally. Over the years she has tried many forms of fitness styles including High Impact Aerobics, Step, Jazz-a-cise, etc. but from her early 30s Yoga and Pilates were always her go to forms for total wellbeing.

​Her continuous learning path is to understand functional pain free movement and mindfulness so that she can guide others into ease and wellbeing. Janet guides class participants to sense their breath, body mind connection, to improve ease and wellbeing in everyday life. Currently offering the ancient practice of QiGong and Forest Bathing to adults of any age, gender and ability

More QiGong in the park on Friday!
22 August at 7am and 7pm.

Will you be joining us?

Even if the weather may a bit overcast and cooler than previous sessions, the practice still be wonderful and fun. And if the weather is inclement we will be in the Pavilion, still reaping the benefits.

So how good is QiGong for us? How about the following for starters:

- memory, focus, balance and co-ordination
- vitality, strength and mobility
… and so much more.

The health and wellbeing benefits of QiGong have been experienced for 1,000’s of years AND the practice has influenced many of our ‘modern’ exercise forms.

Join us to experience this total wellness practice for yourself!

The fundraising donation is £8 or more (preferred cash only in the 'bucket' please) - ALL monies go to the fund!

This practice is suitable for any age, gender or ability.

Experience QiGong - the ancient art of self-care while raising funds for the New Pavilion for King Georges Field, Raydon.

When:
Taking place in July, August & September.
5 x 45-minute QiGong sessions per month
On a Monday, Wednesday or Friday
Starting at either 7am or 7pm

Location:
King George's Playing Field (back of the field) IP7 5LT
The session will take place in the Pavilion if the weather is inclement

£8 per person
All Fees & additional donations go to the "New Pavilion Fund"
Preferred "Cash on The Day" no change given!
(meaning no bank fees so the fund gets it all!)
alternatively credit or debit card can be accepted

What to Bring / Wear:
Comfortable clothing to allow movement without restriction.
Bare feet is best or lightweight flexible shoes.
Drinking water.

That feeling of being out of kilter physically, mentally or emotionally ….. I certainly used to and, for me, it took quite a while to get back into balance.

Body Mind as One

Janet Drake (owner of Body Mind as One) is a lifelong student enjoying new challenges and inspirations, especially those I can experience and share.

I trained at Elmhurst Ballet School for 7 years before dancing professionally. I attended my last ballet classes at age of 31, returning again to ballet classes in my 60s.

Over the years I have tried many fitness forms including High Impact Aerobics, Step, Jazz-a-cise, etc. but from my early 30s Yoga and Pilates have always been my go to forms for total wellbeing.

​After a number of years looking after my son and then working as a Project Manager in the City, gaining an MBA along the way, I chose to become self-employed.
