Male fertility isn’t talked about enough in the UK — yet it contributes to around 50% of fertility challenges.
If you and your partner are trying to conceive and it’s taking longer than expected, it’s worth looking at both sides early. Too often, men assume everything is fine without testing — and that delay can cost time.
What affects male fertility?
– Low s***m count, motility, or quality
– Smoking, alcohol, poor diet
– Stress and lack of sleep
– Being overweight
– Heat (hot tubs, tight clothing, laptops on laps)
– Age and/or underlying health conditions
The reality is this: male fertility can change — and in many cases, it can improve with the right steps.
In the UK, you can start with your GP or explore private support. The NHS can arrange basic testing, including semen analysis.
If you’ve been trying for:
– 12 months (or 6 months if over 35)
…it’s time to get checked.
Don’t assume. Don’t delay. Take control.
