That Friday feeling on the last day of term simply can’t be beaten! It’s the champion of all Friday feelings for children, parents & teachers!

A classic British summer is loading at Goodwin HQ.

Mi casa es su casa. Our home will always be a welcome space for the boys to hang out with their friends. Six weeks of total freedom from schedules, clock watching & formalities. The living is easy.

I’m working throughout, so please do keep the HR work flowing.

HR work has been intense lately with much work around disciplinaries - both conduct and capability. Hence the mid week visit to the local 🤣.

It is a tough climate. The increased employment costs in April 2025 have holted recruitment and or forced redundancy scenarios.

It’s not all doom and gloom, the career coaching at the time of year is enjoyable and much work is underway designing KPIs, pay policy, performance management and much more+

Keep sending the HR work my way, I’m totally energised by my HR work and a proper job is guaranteed for you 👊🏻.

On the personal front all the boys at Goodwin HQ are busy with summer pursuits. Fixtures for WBA were realised this week so it was another visit to the pub with a pen and paper for a planning meeting to map out the diary and away games…because obviously everything else in life fits around the football season ……..

PILOT, SPY, F1 DRIVER, ARCHITECT are a few examples of careers that children in Year 5 and Year 6 enjoyed exploring last week at Hagley Primary school.

Well done to the local businesses who volunteered their time. I’m passionate about encouraging businesses to engage with children and teenagers.

Do good things for others and it will come
back to you in unexpected ways.

My career sessions are ideal for 16 + to create a CV, undertake a strengths based analysis, interview prep and identifying next steps educationally/career direction.

From time to time we all need affirmation we are doing a good job on both a personal and professional note.

It always fills me with joy and pride to know my work is worthwhile and appreciated.

I have really enjoyed working with an undergraduate this week on interview coaching. I’m energised when I work with young people to support their career journeys.

Tomorrow I am at a local primary school voluntarily talking about careers with year 5 & 6.

Do good things for others and it will come back to you in unexpected ways.

I was sorting through some boxes last week and came across my GCSE results that I collected. I can remember the feelings of anticipation returning to high school in late August to collect the envelope.

I hardly remember anything of the subject content but I do remember HARDWORK PAYS OFF.

The fine weather has disappeared so it’s perfect for those studying who need to make this week matter. 👊🏻 It’s the final push to write the material to memory. BBC bitesize is an amazing resource.

Not sure what do so after school or college? My career coaching sessions are great for self awareness and signposting.

Are you looking forward to some bank holiday rest and recuperation?

Or is it a full on schedule of celebration?

We’re not so good at R ‘n’ R so we head into Good Friday with a football fixture and fish and chip gathering and the week continues at pace …….

2025 has so far produced a significant increase in HR work so thank you for your continued work referrals. I am incredibly motivated and driven to deliver quality HR to businesses and achieve results for clients.
