What a lovely and well-attended ceremony I led today at St. Helens Crematorium for Ste Leyland; a true gentleman, a funny guy and an avid Saints fan.
Ste's family chose some wonderful music for him and his Daughter read two heartfelt tributes to him; one from his children and one from his grandchildren.
'The Red Vee', written by me, was read for the first time ever at a ceremony and I'm sure that Ste would've appreciated it.
Thanks to Ste's family for inviting me to join them at The Griffin Inn for a brew afterwards.
Rest In Peace Ste and never write off The Saints! 🏉

I had the genuine privilege of leading a beautiful ceremony at Greenacres yesterday, for an amazing man who was born and bred in South Wales.
Greenacres is such a tranquil place and is such a wonderful setting to say goodbye to a loved one.
The music was simply perfect and, together with an amazing tribute read by his Daughter and an amazing rendition of 'My Hero' by his Grandson, this really did feel like a true celebration of his life.
His Nieces read the lovely poem, 'Miss Me But Let Me Go', which also helped to make for a really beautiful ceremony.
Peter's family really did do him proud yesterday.
Take a 'cwtch' every one of you. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Beautiful music, a well-chosen poem and a lovely October day made for a truly wonderful Celebration of Life ceremony for a dear friend; a strong and brave lady, who I got to know when I led a ceremony for her beloved Husband only three months ago.
But the thing that made the day so really special was that the ceremony had been put together by my friend herself; with just a little bit of help from me and her Daughter.
She really did have the ceremony of her choosing and arranging it together with her was a truly humbling experience for me. ❤️

I was just down the road yesterday at the beautiful Howe Bridge Crematorium to lead what really did feel like a true Celebration of Life ceremony for an amazing and very glamorous 97 year old lady.
The choice of music was simply perfect for the day and 'Look For Me In Rainbows' was one of three poems that were read for her, alongside me telling the story of her long and happy life.
God Bless You Bessie.

A rare Friday with no Celebration of Life ceremony for me so Lynn and I headed off to the beautiful town of Llangollen.
We had wild water, beautiful scenery, a quirky old house and a ginger cat!
What glorious weather we had too!
I'm busy for the next two Fridays but I'm already looking forward to our next Friday on the road.
Thank you Lynn Fulton Davies

I just had to share this post of mine from a year ago. I often speak of how important our pets are to our lives and we've been blessed with Jaspa in the past and with Milo in the present. God bless our furry friends; past, present and future. 😻🐶

More than 350 people gathered last week to say 'Until We Meet Again' to Mick Sutcliffe, affectionately known as 'Mick Sut Builder' in his home town of Todmorden.
The Unitarian Church in the town really was the perfect place for Mick's ceremony and for the story of his life to be told, and his life was indeed a life well lived.
'What's Up' by 4 Non Blondes was the perfect choice to close Mick's ceremony; an upbeat song that was one of his favourites.
Thank you so much to Sally Sutcliffe and her amazing family for trusting me give Mick the send-off that he truly deserved.
Hugs to you all. ❤️

I led a Celebration of Life ceremony at Peel Green last Saturday for a devoted family man, who was also a lifelong City fan and an avid golfer.
A ceremony on Saturday always feels so different, in a really nice way, and two wonderful, appropriate poems were chosen by his family.
Tributes read by his family and friends helped to make for a truly beautiful ceremony accompanied, of course, by four perfect pieces of music.
Thank you so much to Sue Gibbons Funeral Service for helping the family to arrange a truly memorable day.

Jamie is absolutely spot on here. If you've seen a Celebrant who you really warmed to at a ceremony, then by all means ask for him or her to lead your loved one's ceremony. ❤️

We had a truly beautiful ceremony yesterday for a very proud Welsh lady, who just loved following her beloved Wales in the Six Nations Championship every year.
Over the years, she'd visited the famous Cardiff Arms Park, the Principality Stadium and Murrayfield, where she would've belted out 'Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau' with thousands of her compatriots.
Some beautiful Welsh hymns made for a truly unique ceremony as we said 'Nos Da' to a very special lady. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
