What an awesome few weeks we have had at Quinnell House , we have spent lots of time gardening and enjoying our home grown strawberries and tomatoes, we held our monthly residents meeting so they can get their voices and views listened to. Lots of arts and crafts to keep us busy and some great puzzles donated for our residents . The parachute was a big hit and didn’t fail to make people laugh and smile and a lovely visit from bloom the sheep from pet pals she was so lovely and well behaved the residents really enjoyed giving her a stroke and feeling how lovely and soft her wool was. We have also been making the most of our warm days and going on walks and having reminiscing in the garden.

We have had a very busy few weeks here at Quinnell House, we have completely re done our sensory garden with some beautiful new flowers which our residents had good fun planting and re potting, we have had musicals and the local church come to visit , we have played many games and we have had a few little visitors! When the children come to visit they lite up our residents faces and the days just seam that bit brighter. We have also enjoyed an afternoon with fruit punch and my very own ice cream trolly 🥰 It’s like our own little family and I want to say a massive thank you to the staff the residents and their family and friends for all you do for us and the smiles you bring .

Appreciation post to all these hard working people on getting our garden and green house sorted, we have planted lots of lovely flowers and vegetables. Thank you so much to the special staff and residents that all dug deep.

We have had another wonderful few weeks at Quinnell House , we have become fundraisers for the Alzheimer’s Society and we held our first fundraiser. We did a fancy dress theme ! And what a blast we all had , our residents laughed and danced the day away with our wonderful staff. Thank you so much to every one who took part and donated. Planning is under way for the next event. 😉

Quinnell House are now officially signed up to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. We are holding a Come to work in fancy dress on Friday the 13th of June. We are hoping that not only can we put a smile on our residents faces but we can also help to raise money for a charity that’s very close to our hearts. If you are wanting to make a donation these can be given in at the office, no amount is too small.
