My Sunday evening sound baths at the The Jubilee Community Centre Bowdon are the perfect way to fully unwind and to feel a state of deep relaxation.

Commencing with a short guided meditation, participants are gently eased into a relaxed state accompanied by the calming sounds of Himalayan singing bowls and other countries instruments.

My sound baths are grounded in my many years of performing as a free improviser, alongside my completed Ph.D. research into my music-making.

Yesterday afternoon, I delivered a very special 2-hour session for the Cheshire Yoga Together for All (CYTA) group for their Spring Workshop in Rixton with Glazebrook Community Hall, near Warrington. It was great to have a big audience of around 20 yogis present. 🤗 🥣 🎵 🧘🏻‍♂️ 🧘🏻‍♂️ 🧘🏻‍♂️ 🧘🏻‍♂️

My workshop was in two 1-hour sessions, the first was a lecture-demonstration in which I talked about Himalayan singing bowls and sound baths (including demonstrating some of my instruments). In the second hour, I performed a sound bath for deep relaxation and letting go.

I took a larger bowl setup than usual... well over 60 bowls, including my Chakli 1st octave bowl, my three D2 bowls, Mani, Manipuri, Remuna, Thadobati, Jambati, Goalbati, Ta***ic, Dolpo, Thaali, and Naga, alongside my modern bowls.

I also took two of my frame drums, my handheld Chau gong, Koshi wind chimes, ocean drum, caxixi shaker, cabalonga shaker, tobillera (kenari) shaker, plastic egg shakers and shruti box. During the sound bath part, with the curtains closed, I used my aurora projector on the ceiling and my string lights around my bowls.

At the end of the session one yogi came over to me and said "That was cosmic!" 🌌 🥰

It is the first time I have released recordings of these four specific bowls, and they feature regularly in my sound baths, so now you can enjoy listening to them from the comfort of your own home whenever you like on Spotify! 🥣 🥣 🥣 🥣 🎵 🎵 🎵 🎵

So, that is now over 60 singing bowl tracks that I have released commercially since May 2024, totalling over 3 hours of listening material... and there are plenty more tracks on the way soon!

I've been a little quiet on any new singing bowl music for the last few months, as I had been kept very busy composing a new theatre soundtrack, which is now all completed. So, back to the singing bowl music...

My first commercial singing bowl release of 2026... 'Pranayama' (transliterated from Sanskrit into English as 'breath control'), features the sounds of the four modern handmade brass Himalayan singing bowls shown in the artwork. 🥳

This release includes three brand new tracks with these beautiful fourth octave singing bowls.
