I would like to introduce myself as your local consultant psychiatrist, specialising in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. I have a well-established private practice with clinics at the Altrincham Priory Hospital and in Hale Village, offering appointments to children of all ages, in the evenings and at weekends. I am able to offer your privately funded, or insured pupils, rapid and convenient access to diagnosis and treatment for a broad range of mental health conditions. I am able to provide speedy and comprehensive assessments in relation to a range of childhood conditions e.g. eating disorders and neuro-developmental disorders including ASD and ADHD. I will be able to offer assessment of risk in relation to self-harming behaviours and provide liaison with schools to support re-integration to education. I will be able to develop treatment programmes for your patients and their families reflecting the complexity and severity of their difficulties. Our excellent clinical outcomes are reflected in patient satisfaction results. I was appointed Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at The Royal Liverpool Children’s Hospital in 1992. I am an experienced clinician working closely with my colleagues in Tier 3 CAMHS. Throughout my career I have taken a lead on the development of policies in relation to the management of self-harm within the hospital. I have provided paediatric consultation in relation to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and the psychological impact of chronic physical illness such as Diabetes and Cystic Fibrosis. Within the wider professional system, I am an Examiner for the DCH and Membership Examination for the Royal College of Psychiatry. I am experienced in consultation to Social Services using a family therapy model. I am approved under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act 1983.
