Autumn is my absolute favourite season as a care home manager, the crispy leaves and bright colours. 🩷❤️What are your favourite months???
Today our activity coordinator and some of our lovely residents enjoyed doing some autumnal activities🥰😍
We love that the residents at Holly Bank can request and plan their own activities. People are so unique and individual, its lovely they can reflect this 😍

Our lovely hairdresser Debbie is in today, tending to all our lovely ladies and gentlemen. 🥰
We like our ladies and gentlemen to look good and feel good, but hairdressing is also perfect for social conversation.

Happy Yorkshire day!
Today we are delighted to be celebrating Yorkshire day in our care home, we like to honour culture, heritage and traditions. Our residents and team are enjoying a wonderful day, filled with traditional Yorkshire flavours, stories, and community spirit.
We are having fun with activities, such as horse racing we have such a competitive family 🥰🥰 riddle and jargons quiz with prizes for the winners.

Cinema day at Holly Bank ❤️❤️, we like to involve residents in planning of activities.
Today's activity consisted of a selection of confectionary, with variety of soda for our residents. Which were served by our cinema staff.
Our residents had their own tickets, welcoming them in to the V.I.P screening.
Movie choice were selected by our lovely residents. ☺️

Our lovely residents have had an amazing day today, celebrating our 'seaside day' we had plenty of games and fun this morning. Hook a duck, ring toss, knocking the cans down with prizes for our winners!
Water and sand pit to get the true sea side experience.
We had traditional fish and chips with mushy peas, or hot dog in buns smothered with onions. Followed by a succulent velvet centred sponge with chocolate icing. Donuts with cream or chocolate sauce, candy floss and rock! And our cocktail connoisseur, for the beach vibe cocktails!
And would it truly be a seaside visit without an ice cream! our residents all went to the ice cream van and selected their own ice cream! 😍😍😁
We've had such an amazing day! but of course anyone who knows us, knows Holly Bank loves a good party! 🤣🤣 and of course this is what it is all about for us, our residents enjoying themselves.

We had the pleasure of Ravenscliffe High School and Sports College students joining us this morning. To discuss volunteering opportunities and careers. We had a lovely time meeting you and answering all your questions. Some of our residents also came to talk to the group about what they did for work before retirement.

We hope you all have a lovely day celebrating your prom Friday❤️❤️ We hope to see you all again soon.

We had the pleasure of Tony coming to sing for us again today and play the guitar, our residents love our returning entertainers, they enjoyed being able to request their own songs. And then this afternoon some of our residents enjoyed making their own fruit salad. Selecting fruit and cutting it on their own chopping board and putting into a bowl to enjoy😍🥰
We like to ask our residents what activities they would like, maintaining a person centred care approach is important to us as care providers, plus its a lovely way to encourage intake of vitamin C 😍

After a lovely mid afternoon walk around the block today visiting the park with some of our residents. Sun hats, sun cream all around.
Our gentleman decided he'd take charge of watering the flowers. '' The things you do for B&Q'' Even after retirement he loves his slogans!
Now we sit enjoying the world go by with a lovely cup of good ol Yorkshire tea and some raisin and banana cookies we made this morning.
Home made lemonade now, bliss!! 🥰🥰

I would like to say a huge thank you to my wonderful staff team. Who have all brought and donated money towards the 5k race for life I will be completing this weekend. To raise funds for cancer research Uk, in memory of those loved, and the warriors currently fighting cancer. Honoured to be a manager with such a supportive family at Holly Bank.
