Keighley Road GP Surgery A General Practice Partnership serving Illingworth and the surrounding area.

The surgery is situated on the main Halifax to Keighley Road next to Illingworth Fire Station with easy access to buses. There is limited parking to the front of the building and suitable access and toilet facilities for disabled patients. There is also an independently-run pharmacy on the premises which our patients are free to use.

Weight loss injections like mounjaro and Wegovy are now approved on the NHS, however strict eligibility criteria apply and they are only available via specialist weight management services. Not from GPs.

You must have a BMI of 40 or above, AND 4 of these weight related health conditions:

Type 2 Diabetes
High Blood Pressure
Heart Disease
Obstructive sleep apnoea
abnormal blood fats

Inclusion North are running some online workshops for people with a learning disability and autistic people. The workshops will focus on confidence, self-esteem, staying safe and well, safeguarding and who we are and relationships.

The PPG plays a vital role in shaping the way we serve our patients. Your input helps us:

Understand what matters most to patients and their families.
Identify areas where we can improve our services.

Build a stronger connection between patients and practice staff.

🦠🦠🦠Flu season is upon us and its time for you to do everything you can to stay fit and healthy over the winter period! 🦠🦠🦠

If you are eligible and would like to have your covid and flu vaccination at the same time, you can contact us to book an appointment at our clinics on Saturday 5th October, Saturday 2nd November or Saturday 30th November.

If you just want to book for your flu vaccine this year, we have appointments throughout October with our nursing team
Please contact the practice after 10am to book.

If you're not sure whether or not you are eligible to have your flu vaccine at the surgery please check the list below or contact us. It can be confusing so we are always happy to help!

Flu Eligible Groups:
Aged over 65
Aged 6months - 64years old in a clinical risk group (for example you have diabetes, or COPD, or use inhalers for Asthma, or you have a heart condition, or you have a dysfunction of your spleen)
Aged 2-3years old
Pregnant women
Carers of older or disabled people, or those in receipt of carers allowance
Household contacts of immunocompromised people
Those who work in frontline health and social care

We are currently experiencing an IT issue. This is affecting our clinical system. It may take us longer to answer your call as we currently do not have access to our PCs, clinical system or printers.
