As the summer winds down and a new season begins, September often feels like a natural point of transition. The return to routines, cooler weather, and the anticipation of the final quarter of the year make it an ideal time to take stock of our health and wellbeing.

The concept of a "September reset" isn't new; it's a practice that many find beneficial for refocusing on their personal goals. Research into habit formation suggests that linking new habits to a significant calendar event or "fresh start" can increase the likelihood of success. With the summer holidays behind us, this time of year provides a great opportunity to re-engage with healthier routines, whether it’s in your nutrition, fitness, sleep, or mental health.

Rather than a radical overhaul, consider a mindful adjustment to your daily life. This could be as simple as:

Hi everyone,

As many of you know, S.E.A.L Fitness is a true passion project, and I wear all the hats to make it happen!

To make sure I’m giving my best to every single one of you, I’ve decided to make a small change to my schedule.

Going forward, Tuesdays will be my dedicated “office day.” This means I’ll be closed to in-person appointments to focus on all the behind-the-scenes magic.

This time will be spent on things like creating custom rehab plans, keeping up with client notes, and planning new ways to help you on your fitness & rehabilitation journey.

Most importantly, I will be using this time for research, learning new techniques, and honing my craft as a Sports Therapist to ensure I’m always providing you with the highest level of care.

Don’t worry, there are still plenty of opportunities to book a session! You can still catch me for appointments on my other days, including late nights on Mondays and Thursdays.

Thank you so much for being a part of my community and for all your amazing support!

Our Story

S.E.A.L Fitness was founded in 2014 by Emma Seal, after her husband had an accident that changed their family & her life. Based in Halifax, West Yorkshire for group classes & personal training, clients receive a professional & friendly service. Coaching her husband; Mark, through rehabilitation of a broken & dislocated neck, Emma realised that helping people with health & fitness was a passion which she needed to make her career. Originally spending 15 years in various roles of the construction & engineering industries, the switch to Health & Wellness was a dramatic change, but one which finally made perfect sense to her. It was the mental wellbeing; despite the circumstances, that helping someone else progress to full fitness which gave her the pushed to re-train. She is a lover of food & encourages individuals to understand what food types do to the body & how they can influence our physical & mental health.

S.E.A.L Fitness uses an educational & holistic approach in the way that our minds & body's are one & should be treated as such. Good health is an ongoing process for life & this is how Emma works with her clients. After many years of training clients it has become evident to her that for them to be in the best health it isn’t all about physical fitness. In order to have wellness we must have balance & form positive habits that lead to a well-rounded happy, healthy life.

With the importance of balance in mind Emma has created an online Wellness Training Course for all clients or those who are unable to attend group classes or personal training. This will be launching in early 2020 where she will take you step-by-step through the six key areas of wellness & how to create balance in each of them: Physical. Emotional. Social. Intellectual.
