Caritas Group Practice - Woodside Surgery

Caritas Group Practice - Woodside Surgery Caritas Group Practice is made up of 3 GP surgeries in West Yorkshire, caring for patients within the Boothtown, Mixenden and Shelf areas.

The nurses and doctors at Caritas Group have a wide range of skills and qualifications to provide high quality care. We work as a team and assess which clinician has the most appropriate skills for every patient's presenting problem. By working in this way we are able to ensure that each individual has their needs met by the most suitable clinician. Along with our clinical work we are a teaching practice. We teach a range of students including qualified nurses, doctors and nursing/medical students who are undertaking professional education and training courses. Al all times our trainees are supervised by a senior clinician.

Perimenopause is one of the three stages of menopause. It’s when menopause symptoms start but your periods haven’t stopped.

For many women, these symptoms can affect daily life – from energy and mood to relationships and work.

They can also start earlier for some, which is why recognising the signs and getting support matters.

Menopause will now be part of routine NHS health checks – offered every 5 years to eligible adults aged 40 to 74 – for the first time. By including tailored questions about menopause, more women will be able to get the support they need to manage their symptoms.
