Hi, hope you’re all having a nice day. I’m between schools spreading some ☀️ on this gloomy day! Today we have practiced mindfulness eating.
Popcorn is always a firm favourite. We used all our senses;
👀 first we looked at the popcorn, discussed shapes and colours.
👃 then we smelt the popcorn which some children told me smelt of the cinema.
👄 we popped it in our mouth, moving it around without chewing.
👅 finally we got to taste the popcorn.
This activity teaches children patience and mindfulness eating. 🧘♀️ 😊
