Big flex today 💪 as GJ Sladdin & Co Ltd put the health of their employees and their families first by nominating Becky and Nicole to become their Cancer Champions!🏆

Joined by 2 members of the community, we discussed how we've all been and continue to be touched by cancer. However, these Champions know have the knowledge to support and empower those around them. We can't wait to work with you as part of our revolution of Halifax!

Let's uplift our community and prevent cancer from developing as much as we can!

Who cares about diversity? We do!

The CCA team, Dr Nagpol and Zeenat, the local Muslim chaplain, opened the conversation of health to 30+ local women of diverse backgrounds during Ethnic Minority Cancer Awarenes Month

As women, let's speak openly about our health, let's empower other women to attend their screenings and let's be strong and confident!

Open to women of all ages!

It will be hosted by Dr Anwar and Dr Nagpol who will take questions from the community at the end, plus we will be promoting the Breast Screening van coming this winter!

Dr Anwar will discuss the impact of menopause on bone health and Dr Nagpol will share her breast screening story

Loved this week's Chat and Chai! 🍓🍹 We made a super yummy fruit salad and refreshing mojitos that the ladies all enjoyed. Plus, we delivered a recap of our general awareness cancer session. It was a blast!

Had a wonderful time at our Chat and Chai session this week! ☕️ We created lavender-scented bags as a mindfulness activity, bringing ladies from the community together to debrief and share their thoughts.

I'm so glad to welcome two lovely new faces this week! It was especially heartwarming to see one young girl who has been struggling with low mood and depression and enjoy making these lavender scent bags with her supportive mother. She felt it was a comfortable place for her to join weekly, which means the world to us. 💜

We also gently opened up the topic of Cancer, introducing what it is in a light and supportive way. It’s so important to create a safe space for these conversations.
