Ametrine

I've been trying to get this amazing crystal in bracelet form for ages so I'm so pleased as Ametrine is an awesome crystal that does sooooo much.

Ametrine is made up of Amethyst and citrine and quartz

Most ametrine comes from Bolivia and actually begins life as quartz with iron naturally present in the crystal in the ground.

Deep in the ground, the crystal is exposed to different areas of temperature naturally

Where the temperature is lower, the iron stays in a form that creates purple Amethyst.

but where the temperature is higher, the iron changes oxidation state, producing golden-yellow Citrine.

what I love about this crystal and the colours is they remain separate due to the different structure make up of the Quartz Amethyst and citrine crystal
