Wow, it's been brilliant kicking off our Culture 26 project - Made in Halton, Forged in Adventure! and we can't believe that it's been almost a month since our Session Zero already!

Thank you so much to The Heath Conference Centre for their very kind use of their lecture theatre. The evening was brilliant, with the excitement for the future adventures filling the room!

Our first story session is taking place this Saturday and we can't wait to share what happens with everyone!

We are meeting at the Catalyst Museum, then walking around the wonderful Spike Island. This is an amazing chance to socialise with other Pokemon Go players, find out more about what Dawnstar Gaming does in the community, improve your health and wellbeing with a leisurely stroll and casual chat and get out in one of Halton's awesome green spaces.

Dawnstar Gaming CIC is EXTREMELY proud to present Made in Halton, Forged in Adventure! A year long (almost) story telling celebration of the borough's culture and history.
We are partnering with various venues around Halton, allowing you to check out these wonderful locations whilst joining Dawnstar Gaming in an exciting session of D&D. Players will be able to join us, no matter what experience level you are, and then will be invited to watch a live epic finale at the Brindley Theatre in October!

SPOTTED! Spearhead magazine #1!

Dawnstar Gaming CIC, in our mission to make gaming as accessible and inclusive as possible, have subscribed to the new Spearhead magazine, just as we did to the Combat Patrol one, to put together table-top armies for our community to use at our sessions.

Spearhead is the fantasy version of Combat Patrol and this magazine run will include TWELVE forces, up from Combat Patrol's NINE!

We're super excited to be able to provide this for our players, but if any of you would like to collect the magazine alongside us, or to just pick up certain issues that you are interested in, it is now widely available in stores. These were spotted in Widnes Tesco, where there are still about seven left.

WARHAMMER HOBBY EVENING – LAST WEDNESDAY 🖌️🎲

A brilliant night at our Warhammer Hobby Evening last Wednesday — a proper mix of painting, relaxed games, and friendly support, all in a space that’s about community, inclusivity, and keeping things positive.

For a lot of people, hobby time is more than miniatures — it’s a confidence builder, and a chance to connect with others in a calm, welcoming environment. We’re proud to be building a community where everyone can feel comfortable showing up, having a go, and enjoying the hobby at their own pace.

On the tables we had:

Combat Patrol action on packed boards

Some cracking armies out (Aeldari vs Chaos Space Marines, Astra Militarum vs Tyranids, and Ultramarines just hanging out 👀)

A busy hobby table with paints out, brushes moving, and loads of progress made
