Throwing it back to October, when we ran our Stranger Things event across several days — and it was an absolute blast! 🔥🎲

Now that Stranger Things has wrapped up on TV, it feels like the perfect time to look back at the chaos, the laughs, the tension at the table, and the full-tilt Hellfire Club energy everyone brought. The costumes were incredible, the vibe was spot on, and the roleplay moments were amazing!

And as we roll into January… we’re not slowing down. We’re proud to have secured Aspire funding through Culture 26: Made in Halton, and we’ve got something exciting in the works. Watch this space — more details soon. 👀✨

⚔️ WARHAMMER HOBBY NIGHTS – NOW EVERY TWO WEEKS! ⚔️

Dawnstar Gaming CIC’s Warhammer Hobby Nights at Hazlehurst Studios are going fortnightly!
Come for the painting, stay for the games, and enjoy a friendly hobby space with other Warhammer fans.

We’re so excited to be included in Halton Borough Council’s announcement of the Culture 26: Made In Halton Aspire Grant recipients!

A huge thank you to Halton Borough Council, the Liverpool City Region panel, and everyone who’s supported Dawnstar Gaming CIC along the way — this support means a lot, and we can’t wait to share what we’re working on.

We are delighted to announce the successful applicants of the Culture 26; Made In Halton Aspire Grants.

Thanks to funding from the independent panel of creatives and programmers, 10 successful projects have been picked.

There is a wide variety of events from music, pottery, gaming and more.

Winter DeLight not only marks the darkest day in the calendar, the Winter Solstice but it also marks the start of our borough of culture year.
With music, singing, puppetry, lanterns and a last chance to buy from our market stall traders and support Espositos together we will shine a light on the creative community and bring everyone together to say Culture is Made In Halton.

We’re delighted to announce that Dawnstar Gaming, Animal Teach, and Hazlehurst Studios are once again teaming up to deliver an exciting Winter HAF programme this Christmas! 🎄
Across three action-packed days of Dungeons & Dragons adventures and creative artwork, plus one unforgettable day of animal encounters, we’re ready to make this festive season truly magical.

📢 FREE Winter Holiday Activity Club at Hazlehurst Studios! 🎨 🎲 🦎

We’re glad to announce our Winter Holiday Activity Club, part of the Halton Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) Programme! ✨

This FREE programme is for young people aged 11-16 who receive Free School Meals or meet other eligibility criteria (SEND, Young Carers, NEET). Spaces will be prioritised for those most in need, but please share with anyone who may benefit.

Lunch is included at sessions 🥪

🎲 Dungeons and Dragons gameplay with Chris from Dawnstar Gaming CIC and digital drawing activities with Toni from TLC Illustration ✏️

🦎 Animal Teach takeover with Naomi from Animal Teach, a day of exciting animal encounters and chance to learn about their habitats and behaviours!

Young people can attend multiple

🎨⚔️ Warhammer Hobby Evening Recap! ⚔️🎨

Another fantastic evening at Hazlehurst Studios with the Dawnstar Gaming community! 💥

The night started with our Combat Patrols proudly on display — some fully painted, some still works in progress — alongside our stocked painting setup ready for action. 🖌️✨

From there, the brushes came out and creativity took over! Hobbyists worked on everything from Warhammer miniatures to D&D character models, showing off incredible focus and patience (and a few paint-splattered fingers 🎨).

Meanwhile, on the tabletop, the Aeldari clashed with the Tyranids in an epic battle that drew a crowd — tactical brilliance, cinematic dice rolls, and a few dramatic plot twists! 🧠🎲

And to finish off the night? A perfectly timed shot of a Basilisk tank seemingly blasting a player across the room — 10/10 for cinematic framing! 📸💀

Huge thank you to everyone who came along — whether painting, playing, or just soaking up the atmosphere. These evenings are all about creativity, connection, and community, and you’re what makes them special. 💛
