Meet Josiah. He is eight years old and he opened my event at Nandi’s Knowledge Cafe in Highland Park, MI today by reciting an entire section about reparations from one of my books. It was astonishing.

Afterwards, I told him that when I make it to the White House we are going to have a Children’s Council, and I asked him if he would give me the honor of being on it.

He said yes.

Life is so gorgeous.
