Blackthorn Pharmacy We are a Community Pharmacy based at Blackthorn Health Centre, serving a population of around 20,000 people in Hamble, Netley and Bursledon.

We are a modern site with dispensing and MDS robotics and a great team working with us.

Thank you for all the lovely comments and wishes. It is really touching to know that we can make a difference. It wouldn’t be possible without the rest of the team at Blackthorn to whom I am very grateful indeed.

Hopefully I will be able to say farewell to most of you in person over the next couple of months, and thank you all again for the loyalty you’ve shown us.

After 27 years at Blackthorn Pharmacy I have retired and sold the business to Rosechem Ltd. The new owner of the business is Mr Das Bhambra. I will be around for the next couple of months to help with transitioning the business. I am confident that Rosechem will continue to serve the communities of Hamble, Netley and Bursledon to the highest level.

I would like to thank you all for your loyalty and trust; it has been a pleasure to serve you.

Blackthorn Pharmacy is on the look out for a Dispenser to work on Mondays and Tuesdays for 8 hours each day. Experience of a dispensing role and a dispensing qualification is preferred but not essential as we can provide training. As a very busy site, we require a team player, with good computer skills, an excellent patient facing manner and a positive attitude. Hourly rate will depend on experience, but will be in line with market rates for a position of this level. Hello - to clarify our blood pressure checking service. Firstly we do not charge and you do not need an appointment. We are open 8.30 until 18.30, Monday to Friday and 9.00 til 13.00 on Saturday
