Lowford Clinic- A Private Chiropractor based nearby to our Urgent Care Centre have been receiving an increased number of phone calls and in-person visits meant for the Urgent Care Centre.

While they always try their best to redirect patients to the right place, this is naturally time-consuming and is beginning to impact their daily work.

You may have seen headlines that weight loss injections will be accessible via the NHS from 23rd June 2025. Services are currently being set up locally but are not anticipated to be available until the Autumn. Please do not contact the Surgery with queries about this service as we have no further information at this stage.

Access will be prioritised for those with the greatest clinical need, it's for people living with obesity, in poor health with multiple obesity related conditions; as they would benefit most from the treatment.

Who is eligible?
Full qualifying criteria is a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 40 or greater and four or more of the following diagnosed health conditions:
type 2 diabetes
Hypertension
Cardiovascular disease
Obstructive sleep apnoea
Dyslipidaemia

At Hamble Valley Health, we're committed to supporting your health and wellbeing. In the South East, uptake for cervical screening among a younger cohort is under 60% across some practices compared to the wider eligible age group of 25-64. The overall national target is 80%. We know that cervical screening (smear tests) can sometimes feel daunting or difficult to access — and we want to understand why.
