Pelvic & Core Physiotherapy Mummy MOT - The postnatal check you deserve. £85

21/11/2025

❤️❤️Nearly a year in this clinic, and today marks a milestone I’ve been working towards for a long time — the final room now has its floor laid.❤️❤️

Balancing full-time clinical work, raising three children, and spending every spare moment building this space has been challenging, but deeply rewarding. Seeing it all come together is incredibly uplifting, and I’m grateful for every step of the journey.

2026 is shaping up to be an exciting year, with even more opportunities to support women’s pelvic health and expand the services we can offer. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this process — the best is yet to come.

✨ Feeling Inspired! ✨

Today I had the absolute pleasure of meeting not one, but two incredible leaders in pelvic health — and (Sarah Norris). I am still absolutely buzzing! Their passion, warmth, and depth of knowledge were truly inspiring, and I felt honoured to share space, conversation, and connection with them both.

It was one of those moments that leaves you humbled, energised, and full of purpose. I walked away with fresh ideas, renewed motivation, and a heart filled with gratitude.

Here’s to collaboration, learning, and building a world where pelvic health is talked about openly, confidently, and without stigma.

✨ What a Day! ✨
After five whole years of virtual chats, shared passion, and cheering each other on from afar, I finally met the absolutely brilliant, motivated and inspiring in person — and it did not disappoint! 💛

We spent the day at the Scar Symposium at the Birmingham NEC, and it truly felt like the beginning of a new movement in advancing clinical evidence for scar therapy. Such an energising space full of learning, innovation, collaboration and shared purpose.

From education and networking to browsing cutting-edge scar products from .international and others — the future is looking incredibly promising for evidence-based scar management.

5 ways caffeine can affect the bowel ☕️

Caffeine is a natural stimulant, and while it can be helpful for some, it can also influence gut function in several ways:

1️⃣ Speeds up bowel movements
Caffeine activates the digestive tract, which can trigger a bowel movement soon after drinking it.

2️⃣ Can cause urgency
For some people, especially those with IBS, it may lead to sudden or urgent trips to the toilet.

3️⃣ May cause looser stools
Faster movement through the bowel means less time for water to be absorbed, which can lead to softer or watery stools.

4️⃣ Can irritate a sensitive gut
The bowel lining can be more reactive in some individuals, causing cramping or discomfort.

5️⃣ May contribute to constipation
Because caffeine is a mild diuretic, it can lead to dehydration if water intake isn’t sufficient — making stools drier and harder to pass.

Everyone’s body responds differently. If bowel urgency, loose stools, or constipation are affecting your comfort, adjusting caffeine intake may help.

Many people don’t realise that caffeine doesn’t just wake up the brain — it can also wake up the bladder.
For some, this can mean:

• Increased urgency (needing to go right now)
• Going to the toilet more often
• A feeling of irritation or discomfort in the bladder
• Worsening of overactive bladder or urinary leakage symptoms

Caffeine is a stimulant and can make the bladder muscle more active, and it can also irritate the bladder lining. Reducing caffeine (even slightly) can make a noticeable difference in bladder comfort and control for many people.

Small adjustments can have a big impact.
If bladder urgency, frequency or leakage is affecting you, support is available.
