Still smiling as I sit at Brussels airport, reflecting on such a special few days in Leuven 🇧🇪

I had the absolute privilege of teaching the Cesarean Scar Specialist course to 27 incredible Belgian pelvic health physios. What a group — engaged, passionate, and truly committed to improving care for women. I always leave these courses feeling inspired, and this one was no exception.

A huge thank you to for hosting so beautifully and making everything run seamlessly.

There were also some really lovely moments outside the teaching room… including a wonderful dinner with An from and her husband Raf — such great company and conversation. And it was so special to catch up with Gaynar Morgan and meet her husband Paul over a delicious meal too.

Now heading home to Scotland with a full heart (and a bag full of Belgian chocolate for my boys 🍫).

Until September, Belgium 💙

Safe and sound in Leuven 🇧🇪✨

💨🛫A slightly bumpy journey getting here thanks to high winds in Edinburgh, but a much smoother landing—and so grateful to have arrived ready for what’s ahead.🛬

Over the next 2 days, I’ll be teaching the Restore Cesarean Scar Specialist training to 27 pelvic health physiotherapists… a whole room full of my people 💙

We’re also lucky to have Werner Marien from joining us, along with samples of scar products from and —excited for everyone to get hands-on with these too.

There’s something so special about being surrounded by clinicians who are just as passionate about supporting women’s health. I already know this is going to be an inspiring, energising couple of days.

Let’s do this 💫

Stormy skies, hail, and strong winds… and a one-hour delay ✈️🌧️

But nothing is stopping this journey.

Flying from Edinburgh to Brussels today to deliver the Restore Cesarean Scar Specialist course to 27 incredible delegates in Leuvern, Belgium 🇧🇪

It may be a bumpy ride, but I’m finally on the plane and feeling so excited to get started. There’s something special about being able to share this work internationally and connect with clinicians who are just as passionate about supporting women’s recovery after birth.

Here we go… Belgium, I’m on my way 🇧🇪✨

🏵️🏵️Hypopressives: What are they and why are people talking about them?🏵️🏵️

🌸 Hypopressives are a breathing-based exercise technique designed to reduce pressure inside the abdomen while activating the deep core and pelvic floor muscles. The method was developed by Marcel Caufriez and is often used in postnatal and pelvic health rehabilitation.

🌸 Unlike many traditional abdominal exercises that increase intra-abdominal pressure, hypopressives focus on posture, controlled breathing, and a breath hold that expands the rib cage without inhaling. This creates a gentle abdominal “vacuum” effect that can help recruit the deep abdominal muscles and support pelvic floor function.

🌸 Pelvic and Core Physio hosted a Hypopressives workshop on International Women’s Day with the amazing Sinéad from . It was such an enjoyable session that I completely forgot to take a photo or share it on Instagram at the time!😱🫣

🌸 Some people use hypopressives to support pelvic floor recovery, posture, and core stability, particularly after pregnancy or prolapse diagnosis. It was great collaborating with Sinéad for this event as we both feel they are usually most effective when used alongside pelvic floor muscle training and good movement strategies.

🌸 More workshops coming soon, watch this space 💖💖
