Polynucleotides vs Dermal Fillers

What's the difference?

Well, polynucleotides are cutting-edge bioregenerative medicine derived from fish DNA. When injected, they stimulate the skin’s natural healing and repair process.

On the other hand, dermal fillers work differently. They typically contain synthetic hyaluronic acid (found in the skin to maintain moisture and elasticity) to add volume to fine lines and wrinkles.

Both polynucleotides and dermal fillers offer fantastic different results for ageing skin.

Following a consultation, we can discuss your aesthetic desires, skin concerns, and expectations.

If you are interested in finding out more about these treatment and would like to talk to one of our providers, please drop us a message or click the link in bio to book a consultation.

May is skin awareness month and so I want to talk to you about Melanoma to raise awareness.

It’s really important to know your skin and identify any changes, that’s why at FTT we invested in a Dermascope to help support our patients with any concerns.

We can take a look a closer look at moles, freckles, sun damage or any markings you’re just not sure about and capture a magnified image that can be sent to your GP.

The best way to protect your skin is to wear a broad spectrum SPF50 daily and to avoid sunbeds (there is no such thing as a healthy tan; especially with our fair Scottish skin!)

Skin cancer can happen to anyone, so even those with darker skin types, it is absolutely critical we all pay attention to any changes in our skin.

As always; if you are ever in any doubt go get checked out by your GP 🤍
