January reality check.
Every year the same rubbish floods social media â and right on cue, the shake clubs and ânutrition coachesâ reappear.
Letâs be clear and factual for a moment.
Herbalife (and similar systems) donât work because of special products.
They âworkâ because:
⢠calories are reduced
⢠food choices are restricted
⢠structure and accountability increase
None of those require branded powders, memberships, or recruiting your mates.
What is a problem is this:
⢠People with no formal nutrition or coaching education calling themselves coaches
⢠Health advice being tied directly to product sales
⢠Weight loss framed as something you can only achieve if you keep buying sachets
⢠When it fails, the blame lands on the person â not the system
Thatâs not coaching. Thatâs marketing.
Real, sustainable progress comes from:
⢠Learning how to eat normal food
⢠Building habits you can maintain without dependency
⢠Understanding your body, lifestyle, and behaviour
⢠Support that doesnât disappear when the subscription stops
If a âplanâ only works while youâre purchasing products from the person advising you, it isnât a plan â itâs a sales funnel.
And before anyone says âbut it worked for meâ â short-term weight loss doesnât equal good practice, long-term health, or ethical coaching.
January doesnât need more extremes, fear, or false promises.
It needs honesty, education, and coaches who care about people more than profit.
End of rant.
Back to actually helping people properly.
