Life is short. Best not to get bothered, get vexed or angry about anything. Try not to worry and enjoy yaself, be happy, wear ace sunglasses. My dad passed away when he was 47. I didn’t realise how young he was at the time. He would’ve been 78 today! I’ve got more greys/ whites on my head and chin than I ever saw my dad have. Laugh, have fun, make memories! “Never mind what everyone else is up to, you focus on you” ! That’s what my dad told me. Best advice anyone ever gave me. Wish he’d have gave those sunglasses! Cool dad x

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR MRS MARY McVEY

On behalf of the family we can now confirm the funeral arrangements for Mrs Mary McVey

Requiem mass will take place on Saturday 7th June 2025, 9:30am at St Ninian’s RC Church, 34 St Ninian’s Road Hamilton ML39TS, thereafter Bent Cemetery, Hamilton.

Mrs McVey will be received into chapel prior to the Requiem Mass.

After the funeral service all are warmly invited to join with the family at Carrigans Hamilton for refreshments.

Funeral Details

On behalf of Andy's family we can now release the funeral arrangements.
Andy's service will take place at Daldowie Crematorium (West Chapel) on Monday 9th June 2025 at 11.45am to which all family and friends are respectfully invited to join for the celebration of his life. Thereafter to Bothwell Castle Golf Club, Uddingston Road, Bothwell G71 8TD for food and refreshments and to continue to share your memories of Andy.

Funeral arrangements for Mr James Meechan

On behalf of Bernard and family we can now share the following funeral arrangements.

James will be received into St Joseph’s on Thursday 15th May at 5:30pm. We will be leaving his home address at 5:15pm to walk to church should anyone wish to follow.

Requiem Mass will take place on Friday 16th May at 10:00am, St Joseph’s RC Church Blantyre, thereafter Priestfield Cemetery.

All Friends and family are respectfully invited.

I’ve been following this place for a few years since it opened. I know it’s not for everyone but i thinks it’s such a peaceful, beautiful and calm place. ❤️

Barrows are one of the oldest funeral traditions, often built in the countryside from local natural materials.

Our youngest Ellie has found a pair of what appear to be expensive sunglasses. They were found in the car park of Asda Blantyre earlier this evening and she would like to try and return them to their owner. If you believe them to be yours get in touch and we will arrange for their return.
