Hey Hearties! Happy May Bank Holiday Weekend? Anyone travelling for it? I hope the traffic isn't too bad...

For those of you who are looking to travel abroad for the first time after your heart attack or surgery, don't forget your travel insurance!

If you’ve got a new heart condition, travel insurance can sometimes feel difficult to arrange - especially in the first few years after treatment (it may be more expensive, especially for the first 2 years after you've been in hospital)...

There are specialist insurers who cover people with pre-existing medical conditions, including heart conditions - I've found one that my patients have used in the past that I wanted to share.

You'll be able to get a quote from the Able2Travel website below, which is operated by Caledon MGA Ltd, (Able2Travel) are a specialist provider in travel insurance for people with a health condition.

Share any tips that you have found helpful in the comments below!

If your journey involves transiting through a country or region where the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) advises against “All But Essential Travel”, please note:

Have a heart condition and want to feel great again? Then you're in the right place!

I'm Angela Hartley and I'm here to help you get fitter, stronger and get more out of life when you have a heart condition.

Come over and say hi in my private group Healthy Hearties - www.facebook.com/groups/healthyhearties where we chat about all things heart, exercise, food and give each other support.

I became a heart nurse after my Grandma became sick with atrial fibrillation and heart failure. I saw her quality of life decline and she had no support from anyone about how to keep active.

That's why I started Healthy Hearties - to help people like her keep moving, keep doing the things they love and give them back their energy, confidence and their life!

If you've had heart surgery, a heart attack, stents, atrial fibrillation, pacemaker or any other heart problem, then I'm here to help.

I've got a sample of my zoom exercise classes here for you to try: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RconHbooYNU

You can see me face to face in East Molesey, Surrey if you live close enough.

I also offer Zoom/Facetime sessions which are just as fun and means you cut down on the travel time (especially if you live no where near Surrey!).

On this page I will post interesting articles, jokes, exercises to try and helpful tips to help get you on your way to having a healthy, strong heart.

Message me to say hi and tell me a bit more about YOUR heart.
