Every Friday I visit my masseuse for a deep tissue sports styled massage. This week I needed a little more, because my back was constantly feeling lethargic regardless of treatments and stretching etc
Cupping and dragging the cups (myofascial release) has really helped clear out the crap that was accumulating as you can see. 20mins post massage and I genuinely feel fantastic 😁💪💪

Getting the resistance bands out to make the top half of the squat more challenging.
It was this part of my squat that failed me last week at 210kg (previous post).
First time I’ve used resistance bands when back squatting so took it steady; 100kg 10x10

Squat update (if you give a s***)
Not an early bird, never have been, so weight training in the AM is always a mega chore, BUT trying to go for a PB Squat at 0830 was never gunna happen 🤦‍♂️
170kg felt like a mission this morning so I left the weight there and chose to get some reps in instead 👍
5sets of 3paused reps was an effort that early but felt like form was robust 💪
Will try again tomorrow 😉

1 week back into my squats and I’ve gone from a smooth 180 right up to a smooth-ish 195 😎

200 is on the cards next week 💪 might of got it out today but pacing myself & listening to my body.

Squat goal 250 I’m coming for you 👊

195kg x 1/1
Good recovery between sets
