This week we celebrated Chinese New Year with lots of hands-on fun 🧧✨
The children explored mark making with chopsticks, tried Chinese painting by copying numbers 1–6 as symbols, and tasted duck spring rolls, prawn crackers and fortune cookies. We also watched a CBeebies clip to learn about how families celebrate.
We enjoyed a trip to the garden centre where we saw colourful fish and waved to Maddie the parrot 🐟🦜
To finish the week, we had lots of outdoor fun with super muddy puddle jumping and some sunshine in the garden!

Another wonderful week, starting perfectly with National Wetlands Day on Monday — of course we had to lead with this! We enjoyed visits to Slimbridge Wetland Centre, where the children loved discovering the wetland environments, watching the wildlife, and engaging all their senses. Back at Ellie's, we carried on our early science exploration with floating and sinking activities, investigating how different objects behave in water. We also got creative, making our own animal habitats, and spent time meeting our new friends and getting to know our new assistant. With lots of water play, hands-on learning, and opportunities to explore, the children had a fun and inspiring week full of curiosity and discovery. 💧🌿🦆. 💧🌿🦆

✨ Christmas Magic! ✨

We’ve had such a magical time getting into the festive spirit! 🎄
The children enjoyed a story read to us by Santa, met the wonderful Christmasosaurus, explored lots of tuft trays, and got creative making a glittery snowflake ❄️.
We experimented with melting snowmen and explored the Polar Express 🚂✨

And now… the 1-week countdown to our Christmas break begins! 🎅🎁

So proud of all the little imaginations shining bright this Christmas! ❤️
