The busiest few weeks ☀️

So many days spent in the sunshine, and so many beautiful moments 🌸

It’s been full and at times a little chaotic, but in the most beautiful way.
So grateful for every second of it 🤍

So happy this is my job—that I get to see these mini humans smile every single week. It really means everything ✨

❤️March❤️

Has been such a lovely and busy month for us! We were so excited to welcome our new assistant, who has already become a firm favourite with many of our little tots. We’ve also been lucky to enjoy some beautiful sunny days, making the most of our time outdoors together. To top it all off, we finished the month with some wonderful Easter-themed crafts and activities, which the children absolutely loved.

Thank you again to all of our amazing families for your continued support—it truly means the world to us. We adore each and every one of our little ones and can’t wait to see them all again after Easter 🐰🐣

📚✨ We had a lovely time celebrating World Book day this week! The children were invited to bring in their favourite books from home and we really enjoyed reading them together, both as a group and individually. The children loved sharing their stories and looking through each other’s books. 📖
We also had some fantastic dressing up this week – including Superman, Peter Rabbit, a mermaid, and lots more wonderful costumes!
With the beautiful weather, we made sure to spend plenty of time outside enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. ☀️
A lovely week full of stories, imagination and smiles!

🌟Ofsted Inspection – January 2026 🌟

This inspection was carried out under the new Ofsted framework, and I’m incredibly proud to have met all requirements within the updated standards.

I’m delighted to share that my setting achieved Expected Standard in all areas, with Safeguarding Standards Met ✅
The report highlights that children feel safe, happy and secure, build strong relationships, and make good progress in their learning – particularly in communication and independence skills. Ofsted also recognised the positive routines, nurturing environment and strong partnerships with parents.

This week we celebrated Chinese New Year with lots of hands-on fun 🧧✨
The children explored mark making with chopsticks, tried Chinese painting by copying numbers 1–6 as symbols, and tasted duck spring rolls, prawn crackers and fortune cookies. We also watched a CBeebies clip to learn about how families celebrate.
We enjoyed a trip to the garden centre where we saw colourful fish and waved to Maddie the parrot 🐟🦜
To finish the week, we had lots of outdoor fun with super muddy puddle jumping and some sunshine in the garden!

Another wonderful week, starting perfectly with National Wetlands Day on Monday — of course we had to lead with this! We enjoyed visits to Slimbridge Wetland Centre, where the children loved discovering the wetland environments, watching the wildlife, and engaging all their senses. Back at Ellie's, we carried on our early science exploration with floating and sinking activities, investigating how different objects behave in water. We also got creative, making our own animal habitats, and spent time meeting our new friends and getting to know our new assistant. With lots of water play, hands-on learning, and opportunities to explore, the children had a fun and inspiring week full of curiosity and discovery. 💧🌿🦆. 💧🌿🦆
