Happy Friday! We were so pleased to welcome children with their families and staff from Havens Hospices on board for a special trip today.

Thanks to our fully accessible boats, everyone can enjoy the sights, sounds, and gentle pace of the canal – with plenty of wildlife spotting and everyone gets a chance to steer the boat and work the locks.

Another day full of smiles, laughter, and precious memories together.

Last week we welcomed Scriven Disability Support Group from Cambridgeshire on board for a fabulous day out on the water!

They shared this wonderful feedback with us:

“Being able to bring a wheelchair on such a hands-on trip has been incredible. We’ve learnt so much from the crew and will have the confidence to join in more wheelchair-friendly activities.”

It’s feedback like this that reminds us why making the waterways accessible for everyone is so important.

One of Voluntary Action Epping Forest longstanding volunteers has independently organised a Charity Barn Dance to raise funds for two amazing local causes: CanalAbility and Voluntary Action Epping Forest! 🤠💃

🎯 All proceeds will go towards:
🚤 A new accessible electric canal boat for CanalAbility, supporting people with disabilities.
👫 Community Befriending Clubs run by Voluntary Action Epping Forest, helping to reduce loneliness and isolation.
