🎃Happy Halloween 🎃 Got to admit that I had a little too much fun taking this pic 🤣 I’ve never been great on the costume front - sewing is not my thing - infact if anything ends on my “sewing pile” then that means it’s had it! Cooking (this was more like assembling tbf) on the other hand, I’ve always had time for 😋Whatever you get up to today, hope it hits that creative spot!

Did you know that aside it being Menopause Awareness Month 🙋‍♀️, Stoptober 🚭 and National Cholesterol Month ❤️...its also Sober October 🍹....yeah I’m not sure what October did to be so busy!! Every woman is unique and will experience the time leading up to and following menopause differently. It’s impossible to predict which experience you will have which can feel frustrating. However, what can be empowering is taking the opportunity to stop and reflect on diet and lifestyle, habits and routines and start exploring other ways to FEEL GREAT!

What served you well in your 20s and 30s may actually be playing against you now that you are approaching midlife. For many, it's a perfect chance for a reset.

You may wish to focus on troublesome menopausal symptoms or trying to lose weight but It’s also a valuable time to prepare for the future by promoting good bone and heart health.

All that being said, it can feel quite overwhelming knowing where to start!! However, taking small steps now can lead to meaningful changes to improve your physical and mental well-being as you enter into the next phase of your life.

Hi from me!

I wanted to share something exciting - I am launching my new venture MyNutriMatters, an online nutrition consultancy business. 🍴My focus is helping women with nutrition and lifestyle particularly leading up to the time of the menopause 🍏

I am a Registered General Nurse with more than 25 years experience of working in the NHS, corporate and education settings and 3 years ago I went back to Uni to study for an MSc in Applied Human Nutrition and became a Registered Associate Nutritionist. 🍏 I am passionate about the positive effect that nutrition and lifestyle can have on health and wellbeing.

I want to help those who are perhaps struggling with losing weight, want to get away from quick fixes and instead get some support to make changes that are achievable, sustainable and ENJOYABLE!!

Over the coming months I will share information on the importance of nutrition and lifestyle during midlife, together with practical ways to incorporate these into busy schedules.
