👋🏻 OH HEY… 👋🏻

It’s been a little while since I last introduced myself and with so many new faces here, it felt like the perfect time to say hello again 👋

I’m Claire McKenna, osteopath, paediatric specialist, Director of Body Mechanix Health & Wellness Clinic, wife to , mum to two little ones 🩵🩷 and dog mum to

I’ve been practising osteopathy for nearly 20 years and I can wholeheartedly say that experience really does count for everything. I still genuinely love what I do, especially the hands-on work of helping patients out of pain and treating all those beautifully squishy babies and toddlers.

Body Mechanix has been an award-winning high street clinic since 2012 and the past 12 years have been a whirlwind — from moving to new premises in 2018, navigating a pandemic, becoming a working mum, to all the lessons that come with running a growing business. It’s been busy, challenging and incredibly rewarding.

Throw in my partner in crime being diagnosed with an incurable blood cancer, undergoing weekly chemo and the arrival of our IVF miracle last year… fair to say I’ve been spinning a few plates.

Having grown up and been educated in Harpenden, as a third-generation local, it’s a huge source of pride to serve patients and families from my hometown and surrounding villages.

I’m also incredibly proud of the amazing team of practitioners we have at the clinic, offering a wealth of experience across women’s health, sports injury and rehabilitation.

I’m now back from maternity leave working Wednesday and Thursday mornings and look forward to welcoming new patients and returning patients. I remain absent from the online diary, but should you wish to book an appointment with me, please do get in touch.
