We had a wonderful experience at Willow yesterday. Karen and her team from the Methodist Church in Harpenden led a dementia-friendly Holy Thursday service that was truly refreshing and left a positive impact on all who joined.

Good Friday was another successful day. Residents participated in singing Easter songs during our karaoke time, and each one was presented with an Easter egg to share in the celebration and extend warm Easter wishes.

Yesterday, we enjoyed a lovely coffee morning where our residents gathered to spent time together over pastries, tea, and coffee. Adding to the fun was a lively round of musical bingo, which everyone truly enjoyed.

In the afternoon, residents were treated to some relaxing hand massages, making the experience both soothing and special.

Today, some of our residents had a great time interacting with our monthly Omni projector and later in the afternoon, our Gentleman’s Club brought even more fun and enjoyment for all who joined.

At Willow Court, there’s never a dull moment! We love having fun, and our residents are always at the heart of it. Families and friends join in too, everyone is part of the joy.

Here are some highlights from our vibrant last week: karaoke sessions, balloon games, gentlemen’s club/game time, one-on-one games, parachute and ballon game, darts, and more.

If you’re ever in or around Harpenden, we’d love to welcome you for a visit. There’s always something happening at Willow Court, and we enjoy having visitors! 😁

After approximately six weeks, six amazing ladies—made up of staff and residents we have completed our beautiful blanket! 🧶

With an incredible effort of around 125,000–130,000 stitches and 1.6–1.8 kg of wool, this project has truly been a labour of love.

A huge thank you to all the families and our wonderful community for your generous donations of wool. Special thanks to resident Wendy for leading the project, alongside our dedicated activities team, day centre staff, and residents.

We’re so proud to say it’s finally finished and now on its way to Age UK, where it will find a new home ❤️
We can’t wait to get started on our next project… coming soon! ✨

Today was another wonderful day. Our residents enjoyed a relaxed coffee morning together, sharing delicious pastries with gentle music playing in the background.

They also had the chance to play Bingo, kindly hosted by Nigel, one of our volunteers from the Harpenden community. The game was great fun, and celebrating the winner made it an enjoyable experience for everyone😁

Today we had the pleasure of celebrating two very special birthdays 🎉 🎈 🎈

Pamela enjoyed a lovely afternoon with her family in our garden tea room, making the most of precious time together.

David marked his big day with a refreshing nature walk, followed by a well deserved stop at the pub for a celebratory toast. He was accompanied by David, one of our devoted carers, who always goes the extra mile to make moments like these truly special for our residents.

Our Gardening Club has officially started back up this morning! 🌼

Today we got our hands busy sowing seeds in trays, getting everything ready for the months ahead. There was lots of teamwork, smiles, and excitement as we look forward to watching our plants grow over the summer.

We can’t wait to see the results of all our hard work! 🌱
