Taking time out… all the way in Paducah, Kentucky ✨

This trip has been something a little different for me.
Not just travel… but intentional space.

✔️Space to slow down.
✔️Space to reconnect.
✔️Space to create.

I’ve come here for quilting, something I love, but rarely give myself enough time for. And it’s reminded me of something really important…

👉 Creativity isn’t a luxury. It’s fuel.

When you allow your mind to switch gears, away from responsibility, from routine, from constantly doing, something shifts. You think more clearly. You breathe differently. You come back… better.

There’s also something quite powerful in this:
✔️The life you build through hard work should give back to you.
✔️The long days, the commitment, the consistency… they’re not just for ticking boxes or growing a business. They’re what create the freedom to step away, travel, explore, and pour into yourself.
✔️Because when you take care of your energy, your mindset, your creativity…
everything else flows better.

And for me, right now that looks like fabric, colour, quiet focus… and a very full cup ☕️🧵

Something powerful is arriving next month… and I already know the difference it’s going to make for so many of you.

Our infrared sauna is being installed.

I didn’t choose this lightly.
I chose it because of what it allows your body to do.

What I see in clinic every day…

A patient came to me recently with persistent lower back pain.
Not just a ni**le, but something that had been quietly limiting their life for months.

- Sitting was uncomfortable.
- Exercise had stopped.
- Even simple things like putting shoes on had become a challenge.

They’d tried to “wait it out”… but nothing really changed.

🔍 What we found

It wasn’t just the back.

There were underlying movement patterns at play: tightness through the hips, reduced spinal and foot mobility, and a body that had adapted to protect itself for far too long.

We took an integrated approach:
• Osteopathy to restore movement
• Targeted soft tissue work to release tension
• Simple, tailored exercises to support change at home

Back pain: why it’s not always your back

Someone walks in pointing to their lower back…
👉 “It’s here. This is the problem.”

But often?
That’s just where the pain is showing up, not where it started.

The body doesn’t work in isolated parts.
It’s a connected system.

So your back pain might actually be coming from:

• Tight hip and leg muscles pulling on your pelvis
• Weak glutes or other muscles not supporting you properly
• Poor foot mechanics (yes, your feet matter that much)
• Old injuries your body has adapted around
• Stress and tension your body is holding onto

Pain is clever like that.
It shows up where the body can no longer compensate.

For over 20 years, I’ve been immersed in the world of health, movement, and wellbeing.

It started with a simple fascination: how the body works, how it adapts, and more importantly… how it heals.

That curiosity led me to train as an osteopath 14 years ago. But what I quickly realised was this:

Healing is never just physical.

Over the years, I’ve continued to learn, evolve, and expand, bringing together osteopathy, gait analysis, laser therapy, massage, reflexology… and now NLP coaching.

Because no two people are the same.
And no single approach ever truly fits all.

What I see in clinic every day is this:
People don’t just come in with pain.

-They come in feeling stuck.
-Frustrated.
-Disconnected from their bodies.

What we see in clinic every day…

It’s rarely just the shoulder.
Or just the back.
Or just the knee.

What I see, over and over again, are patterns.

• The busy parent holding tension through their neck and shoulders
• The runner with foot mechanics quietly driving knee pain
• The desk-based professional with a body stuck in one position all day
• The teen already carrying stress physically, not just mentally
• The patient who’s been told to “just rest”… but nothing really changes

Pain doesn’t usually start where you feel it.

It builds.
It compensates.
It adapts… until it can’t anymore.

That’s why we don’t just treat the symptom.

We look at how your body is moving,
how it’s compensating,
and what it actually needs to function well again.

Sometimes that’s osteopathy.
Sometimes it’s laser.
Sometimes it’s orthotics, massage, or simply the right advice at the right time.

Pain isn’t always the problem.

It’s often the result of something else going on in the body.

This is something I see every day in clinic, people coming in with pain that’s been:

• shifting around
• or never quite fully resolving

And understandably, the focus is always on where it hurts.

But the real question is:
why is it happening in the first place?

For example:
• back pain might be linked to how you’re walking
• neck tension might be coming from long-term postural habits
• foot pain might be affecting everything further up the body

So instead of just treating the painful area, I’m always looking at:
• how your body is moving
• what patterns have developed over time
• and what might be keeping the problem going

Because when we understand that,
we can start to make changes that actually last.

And yet the pain keeps coming back.
What I often see is this:
The body isn’t lacking effort - it’s lacking the right input.
Back pain is rarely just a tight muscle.
It’s how your body is moving, compensating, and adapting over time.
This is why we look at the whole picture in clinic - movement, alignment, lifestyle, and how your body is actually functioning day to day.
