Mindful Reiki

Mindful Reiki Mindful Reiki involves anchoring the client using tailor-made mindfulness techniques prior to the Reiki treatment. The client remains fully clothed.

During the treatment we use the breath as a grounding tool, working together in order to achieve optimum results. There are many conditions which can benefit from having a mindful Reiki treatment. Reiki is a simple, gentle, yet powerful touch therapy. Used in conjunction with mindfulness it can further enhance a sense of physical as well as emotional strength. The treatment starts with learning mindful techniques in order to tune into the link between mind and body. The client then lies down on a treatment couch with the practitioner gently placing their hands over the client's energy centres which run through the body. Throughout the session the client focuses on anchoring points in the body to help themselves tune into this energy on a personal level. Reiki energy stimulates the body's energy system into removing energy 'blockages' which may manifest as physical or emotional illnesses. Reiki can help alleviate these imbalances and in so doing:
- speed up healing
- release negative feelings which may be affecting day-to-day life
- help alleviate physical pain

As well as being a mindfulness coach I am trained in the Usui Shiki Ryoho System of Natural Healing, levels 1 and 2. I am also a practitioner member of the UK Reiki Federation and hold full liability insurance.
