❄️ Trying harder wasn’t the answer. Softening was.
Finally — after THREE years — we made it to the Turkish Baths in Harrogate 😅
My daughter gave me a voucher last year (expiry date looming 👀) because we’d said “we must book that” roughly 47 times.
And of course… we chose a proper Yorkshire winter day.
1°. Freezing wind. Absolutely Baltic 🥶🌬️
I genuinely thought I was mad running errands beforehand.
But once inside… different world ✨
Warmish room.
Warmer room.
Accidentally straight into the hot room first 🔥😂
Then eucalyptus steam — very detoxifying 🌿💨
It’s not glossy or spa-fancy. It’s the original 1870s building — tiled walls, stone seats, old pipes grumbling away. Solid. Historic. Proper Harrogate.
Walking back up the hill in my fleece-lined golf beanie 🧢 I could feel that deep inner glow.
We both said the same thing — “my muscles feel so much softer.”
Two days earlier I’d been on the golf range frozen to the marrow, trying to make something happen. Tight body. Tight swing. Overthinking everything ⛳️😬
Today? No forcing.
Just lying around.
And everything released. ✨
And that’s exactly why I love the gong 🔔
It’s not about pushing. It’s about letting your body drop what it’s been holding.
Sometimes it’s not more effort we need.
