We are raising money for the wonderful candlelighters charity. Please come and join our big top family fun day. Saturday 9th August. Hook-a-duck, face painting, wet sponge throwing, coconut and balls, tombola, hot dog, ice cream and of course a magician. Everyone welcome.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us at Harcourt Gardens for our dementia awareness event.

Guests enjoyed expert advice from Dementia Forward’s Fiona Andrews, tours of our dementia floor, and a special piano performance by Channel 4’s The Piano finalist Duncan Goodwin, who inspired us all with his story and talent.

We had a visit from Kim and her guide dog Jango. Kim gave a very informative talk on being blind and how Jango performs his duties as a guide dog. The residents thoroughly enjoyed the talk.

The residents had a brilliant time celebrating with a special visit from some stunning classic cars. They brought back so many memories and sparked lovely conversations!

And to top it all off, the ice cream van made a surprise stop, serving up sweet treats and big smiles all around.

What a fantastic day we had honouring VE Day at Harcourt Gardens!

The home was alive with the sounds of live entertainment and classic wartime tunes. Residents tucked into traditional fish and chips, surrounded by Union Jack bunting and the stunning sight of vintage cars on display.

It was a wonderful way to reflect, remember and celebrate. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a special day!

At Harcourt Gardens, the residents had a truly peaceful and uplifting afternoon.

Dee led a beautiful meditation session that had everyone completely captivated. Her calm presence and guidance created such a serene atmosphere. It was a joy to see the residents so engaged and relaxed.

Afterward, they were treated to delicious banana splits and wound down with a cosy film—The Notebook—before tea. A perfect day of mindfulness and comfort.

The residents had a fantastic time celebrating St George’s Day with a special performance from the Harrogate Spa Town Ukes.

This wonderful local ukulele band brought lots of toe-tapping, sing-alongs! They were a huge hit with everyone, and we’re already looking forward to welcoming them back soon.

Easter fun was in full swing here at Harcourt Gardens! 🐰

The residents had a wonderful time celebrating, everyone got into the spirit with their bunny ears on, received some delicious Easter eggs, and got creative making beautiful homemade Easter wreaths.

At Harcourt Gardens, the residents had a refreshing treat... delicious ice cream sundaes and some homemade smoothies.

Over the weekend, we also had a fun-filled Bubbles and Musical event, where everyone got involved in a sing-along of classic film songs.
