Continued Care Limited

Continued Care Limited Rated CQC Outstanding, family-run Continued Care offers home care services across Harrogate and Ripon

At the heart of everything we do is a focus on providing high-quality, respectful care to all the people we work with. We offer independence, dignity, respect, peace of mind, and rights to choice. We provide tailored home care in the Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon and Settle areas to people who have experienced a sudden illness, returned from hospital or are simply in need of extra support. Our s

ervices range from help with cleaning, shopping and personal assistance, right through to 24-hour care. We help people with complex health needs to move back to their own homes following a stay in a nursing home or hospital. We are highly experienced in managing the moving process and can provide up to 24-hour support to bring people home. We work closely with people and their families to create a care plan that meets their individual needs and respects their requirements. We provide services on behalf of the NHS, as well as to private clients. We have also been the sole provider for the last five years of home care in Harrogate, Knaresborough and the surrounding district on behalf of North Yorkshire County Council. The wellbeing of our staff is also a big focus for us, and we provide regular training, supervision and appraisals, as well as clear career development paths. Our work meets and exceeds the standards set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and we are rated as Outstanding; please download a full copy of our latest independent inspection report at www.cqc.org.uk. We are seen as leaders in our field and have won numerous awards for our work in the care sector as well as for our approach to staff development and training.

💫 The nominations are in for our April 2026 Carer of the Month!

Please take a moment to read through the nominations below and send your vote to Monica.Tavares@continued-care.co.uk before Thursday, 30th of April.

🌟 Christine J has been nominated by a colleague for the consistently positive feedback received from clients about her approach. She is described as lovely, chatty and proactive during calls, always taking the time to engage meaningfully with people. Her friendly and approachable nature helps build strong relationships, and her attitude brings a positive energy that doesn’t go unnoticed. She is also recognised as a hardworking and reliable member of the team.

🌟 Fiona has been nominated by a colleague for her kindness, passion and leadership. She is seen as someone who leads by example, supporting both clients and colleagues with a calm and caring approach. Her passion for care and the way she carries herself in her role has made a strong impression.

🌟 Angeline has been nominated again for her outstanding and consistent support. She has been recognised for working closely with families and other professionals to deliver exceptional, consistent care, particularly in more complex situations. She has stepped in at very short notice to cover night shifts and emergency visits, including sacrificing personal time to ensure clients are supported. She has also gone the extra mile to secure urgent medication just before closing time to ensure a client did not miss a dose. Her communication is excellent, keeping families and the office fully updated, and she is highly respected for her compassion, professionalism and dedication over a long period of time.

🌟 Charles has been nominated by all care coordinators again for consistently going above and beyond. He is always available at the end of the phone, regularly supports with rota gaps, and is flexible with his working days to help the team. There have been multiple occasions where he has returned to clients after finishing his shift to ensure care is completed properly, particularly when medication timings have overrun. He is known for offering help before being asked and for his strong sense of responsibility towards both clients and colleagues.

🌟 Rahat has been nominated by a client’s family member for her caring nature and strong attention to detail. She is recognised for always going that bit further to ensure care is done properly and thoughtfully. Despite being early in her career, she has impressed with her mature attitude, professionalism, and her ability to engage positively with clients, making them feel comfortable and well supported.

🌟 Rachel M has been nominated for the support she has provided to a client transitioning into a new home. She has helped manage important changes such as GP registration and address updates, while also supporting the client through what has been a challenging and emotional time. Her ability to remain positive, encouraging and patient has helped the client settle in and feel reassured throughout the process.

Thank you for taking the time to vote! 🙏

🌟 Congratulations to Sarah Linfoot, who is our March 2026 Carer of the Month!

💫 Sarah shows real dedication to her role and is always willing to help, even on her days off if needed. Her caring nature and commitment to making sure her clients are well supported do not go unnoticed.

We received a lot of positive feedback from the clients that Sarah supports, including the following comments.

“She really cares about mum so much and yet again went above and beyond. I appreciate all she does so much and, in my eyes, should get carer of the month and the year.”

“I would like to register my vote for Sarah Linfoot, who goes above and beyond in the care she provides for my Mother.”

“I would like to vote for Sarah this month and every month. She is like family to Mum. Sarah is so thoughtful and caring and goes above and beyond in her job. She has become a good friend and always keeps me well informed if something is not right.”

A huge well done to Sarah! 💙

Throughout 2026, the Continued Care Team will be taking on a series of exciting and meaningful challenges to raise vital funds for our charity of the year, Mind in Harrogate District.

Our goal is to support the essential work Mind does in providing advice, guidance, and services to those experiencing mental health challenges in our community. So far, our fundraising journey includes two major challenges. We will be trekking the iconic Machu Picchu trail, walking from Ollanta Tambo to Machu Picchu, and in July 2026, we will be climbing Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK.

Our Ben Nevis challenge will take place over three days:
• Friday 16th July – Travel from home
• Saturday 17th July – Climb Ben Nevis
• Sunday 18th July – Travel home

Mental health affects every one of us; our families, friends, colleagues, and the people we support every day. That’s why this year’s challenges are about more than just physical achievement. They are about coming together, raising awareness, and helping ensure that no one has to face mental health challenges alone.

Whether you’re joining us on a challenge, cheering us on, or making a donation, you are part of this journey. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help Mind continue their incredible work within our community. Let’s climb together for mental health. Let’s make every step count. 💙
