It’s been 2 years this week since l started my own business, “The Foot Nurse “ Thank you Jane W .for the name 😉armed with a diary from The Works , just a few tools from Amazon , l set off in the Community following a couple of acknowledgments from fb not knowing where it would take me ?but knowing l could not do Nursing any longer , my heart ❤️ was not in it anymore ! and l feel when you feel that way , especially in nursing it’s time to move on ,it’s not fair on the people you are caring for and just as importantly it’s not fair (on yourself )
In around 4 months l became very busy and felt much happier and relaxed in myself ,a lot of my first clients back then are still with me and many , many more , l have gone from a handful of clients to looking after 6 Nursing homes and a Clinic in Harrogate twice a month .Two of the homes l
Have passed on to Clara , Teresa and Katie which makes me feel really proud and happy that l could do that .Katie and l did our training at Huddersfield together 2 yrs ago , at Next Generation Foot Health Training & Supplies , followed recently by Clara and Teresa who said they had been inspired by us 😊also l desperately needed a hand ✋ or two 😉so although these lovely ladies work for themselves we join up together and support each other on the bigger jobs

If anyone is thinking of doing a Foot Health Practitioner Course we can highly recommend Chris Kay in Huddersfield (level 4 Diploma Next Generation ), believe me there is plenty of work to go round there’s are so many people in desperate need of professional Foot Care especially in the community and often alone a part of my job l love 🥰
Lastly a huge THANK YOU ! to all my Clients your all very special and have become friends l couldn’t have come this far without you all and of Course Thank you to these three lovely ladies talk about keeping it in the family 😊 daughter , sister and daughter in law to be .❤️

Katie @( Feet First ) and l have been looking after the residents at Alne Hall for over a year now , we love coming over it’s such a special place for people with learning disabilities, we love this huge ball room and the staff and residents make us so welcome 😘We are looking forward to seeing you all in 2026 , Happy Christmas and a happy New Year 🥳 🎄🌲

One of my very first clients l haven’t seen in a year as she’s always working and hasn’t been able to come for her feet done , came to my foot Clinic today to treat herself , and brought me this lovely little plant and Cinnamon bun it’s so kind 😊thank you Kelly
Also my lovely friend Karen who was once one of my student nurses back in the day , l haven’t seen for 4 years also came to have her feet pampered she always sends me lovely birthday cards etc , today she brought this cute card , called ‘hat box’s in the snow ⛄️ ‘

I like many have crawled along the forever crammed Skipton Road with traffic lights 🚦 galore and seen this cute little van which l thought just served hot drinks and the odd sandwich’s
🥪 today I have been with Katie , who highly recommended the Wide range
of Jacket potatoes 🥔 baked in the oven and lots of other very fairly priced take away foods , they were absolutely gorgeous on a cold day like today, and the choice of fillings was fabulous ,Nicky this lady with the lovely smile and her partner were so welcoming and friendly 😊they also do Bacon 🥓, Sausage sandwichs and many more .
We had the Tandoori home made curry filling in a big potato with fresh coriander and mint yoghurt dressing with a drink it was £7.
The sandwiches started at £4 .
I loved this little spot and wish them lots of Luck 🍀
