A huge Well Done!! To my daughter Clara , who last week completed the practical side of her Level 4 Foot Health Practitioner Training with Chris at Huddersfield she had a fabulous but very busy week driving herself back and forth every day !
You get out what you put in , I’m really proud of you Clara and l ( Need ) you 😊 Clients Need you !

A few new faces today and some weird and wonderful nails to tackle , showing once again the need in the Community setting for even basic foot care 🦶lots of elderly people without support out there 😢so when they come into the Care home setting for respite this is when foot issues are picked up if not before !

Phew 😮‍💨 it’s been a busy one today ! The Manor House ( Roundhay ) has got soooooo busy since my last visit, rooms are filling up fast which isn’t surprising as it’s just Beautiful 😘
I have never worked anywhere where l feel so appreciated , Clara and l were given lunch today by Clare the lovely Home Manager and friend , even as l was up leaving one of the staff came across and said have a tea before you go , it’s just so nice 😊
We will see you Wednesday to see all the lovely residents on the ground floor as today we started at the top first too many residents to see in one day , l did have the privilege of assisting a lady of 101 , with her feet 🦶 today .
Thank you all at this truly stunning home .
Just remembered they even have David Bowie on the wall in the salon 💇‍♀️ What more could l ask for .

Just ❤️ my Home Visits!
A very painful seed corn took me to the beautiful home of the most friendly, welcoming couple. It was such a pleasure to see them both. They have two lovely big dogs — a lively Great Dane puppy who was full of energy, and an older Italian Spinone who wasn’t too interested in the fuss, so I didn’t bother him for a photo. Such a lovely visit. Thank you both for having me, for allowing me to help with your feet, and for letting me capture these gorgeous photos. I just love big dogs 😊💙💗

Thank you to Clare and all the wonderful staff at The Manor House, Roundhay, for making my daughter, Clara, feel so welcome as she begins her training as a Foot Health Practitioner (FHP).

This marks the start of her journey, gaining an early insight into the care home setting in a new role. It was a valuable opportunity for her to observe and get a feel for the environment before starting her course in Huddersfield very soon. The male residents were glowing when they saw a younger face coming in to observe and learn — it brought such a lovely energy to the day. It’s always a privilege to visit this stunning, luxurious home.

Visited this very special client this morning, who, over a year ago, was one of my very first clients. I knocked at her door, stressed to death — I had got the time wrong, couldn’t find her house at first, and the whole career change was challenging at times.

Katherine met me with a smile, rearranged her business telephone call, and made me feel so welcome. She has continued to support my business ever since, and has been genuinely pleased to see it go from strength to strength in such a short time.

Soon, I’ll be joined by one of my daughters, Clara, when she qualifies in July/August — which is great, as I really do need a hand 😊 for all these 🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶

Throughout this journey, I’ve met the most wonderful people from all walks of life. Katherine, in particular, stands out. Despite facing her own very difficult journey, she remains positive, strong, bright, encouraging, and just lovely to be around.

Today, she gave me these beautiful gifts — one bottle for Clara (the pink one, which already has her name on it!) and one for me 😊

This is why I just love working in the community — you never know where you’re going to end up!

After getting a request for a home visit, I headed up to Beckwithshaw to see a new client. I had no idea how to find him, so thank goodness for Google Maps! 🙌

After passing through the village, my phone directed me to turn right at the Fewston sign. I followed a long, narrow road, and then—suddenly—this incredible Victorian mansion from 1848 appeared before me. WOW. 😮 I'd never seen it before... Moor Park Hall.

An absolutely stunning building steeped in Victorian charm. My client doesn’t live in the main house, but as a former property developer, he was full of fascinating stories about it. He and his wife live in a beautiful house within the grounds.

The Manor House itself has been converted into luxurious flats—there’s even one currently on the market if anyone’s interested 😉💷

Here’s a bit of a grainy old photo I came across, but I love it—Victorian ladies in their grand dresses enjoying the grounds, just like people still do today ❤️
