What a week it's been at The Gatehouse! 🎉 We've been busy celebrating a special birthday, filling our home with joy and the delicious smell of freshly baked scones which we enjoyed during our coffee morning. It was wonderful to welcome friends from another local home to join in the fun, and the incredibly talented Rick Fry truly made the week memorable with his fantastic singing!

🎉 Sunshine, Celebrations & Summer fun at The Gatehouse! ☀️🌭🎾

This past week has been one for the memory books at The Gatehouse Residential Home! From joyful birthday bashes to sporty shenanigans, we've packed our days with laughter, flavour, and a touch of friendly competition.

🥳 Birthday Celebrations brought smiles all around as we honoured our wonderful resident with cake, cheers, and plenty of dancing in the lounge 💃🕺.

🌭 Hotdog Tasting, the residents sampled sizzling delights with all the trimmings.

🎾 Wimbledon Final fever swept through Gatehouse as everyone gathered to watch the thrilling matches, complete with strawberries, cream, and a cheer for every ace.

🎳 Bowling in the Lounge had our competitive sides shining. Strikes, giggles, and applause filled the air!

The Gatehouse knows how to keep spirits high and smiles wide. Whether it’s sport, dancing, or simply sharing a moment, our community continues to thrive together. 💛

🎈 The Gatehouse Residential Care Home has been buzzing with activity lately! We have enjoyed a week full of joyful engagement and creative fun:

🎨 Colouring In: Calm creativity brought out beautiful artwork and peaceful moments.
🎂 Birthday Celebrations: The team pulled out all the stops to make one of our ladies feel truly special.
🍫 Chocolate Tasting: Residents indulged in a delicious selection of treats and then told us which were their favourites.
🎶 Music Quiz: Laughter and friendly competition filled the room as residents tested their musical memory.
🌼 Garden Games: Sunshine and smiles were in abundance during outdoor activities.
🎳 Indoor Bowling: A little friendly rivalry and lots of cheers made this a hit.
🗞️ Newspaper Racing: A quirky and energetic game that had everyone having fun.

🌼 A Week of Joy and Togetherness at The Gatehouse residenti home! 👑🐦☕

It’s been a wonderful week here, filled with laughter, creativity, and heartfelt moments.

We gathered for a peaceful church service that lifted spirits and brought our community even closer. Residents got crafty with some bird feeder making—plenty of seeds, smiles, and chirpy visitors to look forward to!

To honour our amazing dads, we served up a special Father’s Day Afternoon Tea, complete with delicious treats and shared stories. And of course, we raised a toast (and a few cupcakes!) to celebrate His Majesty the King's Birthday with a festive spread of snacks and royal cheer.

Thank you to everyone who joined us—it’s these moments that make our home truly feel like family. 💛

🎉 A week and a bit of Celebration at The Gatehouse! 🎉
What a fantastic time we've had at The Gatehouse recently! Our wonderful residents have been busy celebrating VE Day, enjoying the incredible talents of Rick Fry, and marking some very special birthdays!

We honored this historic day with music, laughter, prosecco and strawberries as requested by our residents.
🎤 Rick Fry’s Performance 🎤
A huge thank you to the amazing Rick Fry, who brought joy to everyone with his fantastic singing! His performance had us tapping our feet, clapping along, and even dancing!
🎂 Birthday Cheers! 🎂
We also had the pleasure of celebrating some of our residents' birthdays. There was cake, candles, and plenty of smiles as we made sure their special day was filled with love and laughter.
Thank you to all our staff, residents, and visitors for making these moments so memorable. Here's to more celebrations ahead! 🥳
