🏠 A Week of Reflection and Joy at The Gatehouse Residential home
This week at The Gatehouse has been one of those weeks that reminds us why we do what we do. Our halls have been filled with a beautiful, bittersweet mix of emotions.
❤️ Saying Goodbye
Sadly, we said a final farewell to two of our wonderful residents this week. They weren’t just residents to us; they were family. While our hearts are heavy, we feel so privileged to have shared in their lives and stories. They will be missed dearly by everyone here.
✨ Finding the Light
In the midst of our reflection, our home has remained filled with the love and laughter that our residents bring every day. We believe in celebrating life in all its forms, and this week was packed with moments that made us smile:
Sweet Treats: The sweet trolley made its rounds, bringing plenty of sugary smiles.
Tech & Play: We had a blast with interactive games on the Omi projector and some friendly competition at bowling.
Music & Movement: From soulful sing-alongs to impromptu singing and dancing, the music never stopped.
Creativity & Calm: Residents enjoyed peaceful afternoons of colouring and a lovely Church service to provide a moment of quiet reflection.
Thank you to our incredible team and our resilient residents for supporting one another through the ups and downs.
